If you have a 4k television and high end audio why wouldn't you get the best cables to connect them. Very well made cables!

How to review a product like this? Well, here's my effort, anyway.....I bought this HDMI cable to use on my new 50-inch Panasonic Plasma TV. About 9-months or so ago we bought a 60-inch Panasonic Plasma TV that was a "higher-line" model that we use with a home-theater sound system and we bought an even more expansive HDMI-cable for that because of the higher level of TV and its 3D capacity along with the sound system it would be connected with. This time around, the TV and the sound system it's attached to is less sophisticated and, I suppose, demanding television so we decided on the Cinnamon-level. Using it, the picture and sound on the 50-inch TV is fine, even if it isn't as fantastic as the 60-inch I mentioned. I guess the Cinnamon-level is all I needed because all's well on the TV it's connected to. I think the hard part of reviewing this item is that there's room to wonder if a basic HDMI cable, which would have cost less than half the price of the Cinnamon would have been enough for this TV to give the same results. The cable company said it would. But, I wanted to be certain that we'd get as much enjoyment from this new TV as possible and we didn't want to be bothered with testing one against another so we decided not to take a chance and bought the Cinnamon.

So I'm not in the habit of spending a lot on HDMI cables, but this HMDI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 cable is really awesome. Is it worth the price? I guess that depends on how much you want to get out of your 4K TV investment. If you buy a budget TV is it worth spending almost 25% of the cost of the TV on a cable? Maybe not, but when you buy a premium TV with more bells and whistles, it makes sense to get that perfect picture.

My new Brand

Monster was always my "go-to" brand for HDMI cables since it was usually the best available at my local discount store. Since purchasing the AudioQuest based on recommendation, I'm planning to make this brand my new cable of choice. I have Samsung Smart TV's in 3 rooms of my house and on occasion I unplug the power cable and HDMI cable and move the monitors into different rooms to check screen size, lighting, reflection glare, etc. Since the Samsung TV's use the same power cord, I don't have to pull the heavy credenza out to unplug it. I noticed when I used the AudioQuest cables on the last Samsung TV I purchased about 2 years ago, the sound quality was much better with these HDMI cables. I can't really tell the difference in the picture quality on the non-3D screen, but on the tv with 3D, it seems to be a brighter picture...not sure if its coincidence, but not taking any chances either. I will spring for the higher priced cables just based on my experience with similar tv's and trial and error alone.

I have tried a lot of different cables this is by far the best I have ever used. I have a Samsung 7000 3d used to the cable for Arc for my surround sound got a better sound than a similar high competitors hdmi. Also for dish network it reduces decompression and gives brighter more brilliant colors.

I bought this when I purchased my samsung curve. I didn't want to go too expensive so met the price in the middle! The only thing it had a short cord so it was a little difficult to work with but comparing to a regular cheaper hdmi cable, this really made the picture more crisp and clear so I guess the more expensive the better, just wish they made the cord longer, but I am happy and satisfied!

A well-made, mid-priced HDMI 2.0 cable

High-speed HDMI 2.0 cables with HDCP 2.2 compatibility are required for the new HDR 4K TV's. Yes, these are digital signals that should not degrade or be terribly affected by the 'quality' of a cable, or how much silver content is used to make it... BUT - I tried using cheap HDMI cables with my 10-year old 1080P TV, and definitely experienced artifacts and dropouts until I installed a higher-grade cable, even on this simpler signal that should work with lower signal-to-noise ratios than 4K will ever tolerate. Also, my older TV will lose compliance with DirecTV DVR more often with the cheap cable, requiring reboot of the TV to regain video connection.
This cable was purchased alongside a new 4K TV, and has worked wonderfully since purchase. NO noticeable cable-related noise issues so far, or losing compliance with the same DVR's copy protection circuitry, either.
So all I can tell you is - - I am satisfied with this product, and feel it is a justifiable price when you are pairing it with a new, state-of-the-art 4K TV. I do, however, doubt there is much (if any) reason to spend more for a comparable length, high-speed HDMI cable - even from AudioQuest.
Hope that helps.....

So I did a lot of research on this cable after I bought it before I opened it up because $80 for a 3 foot cable is not something I normally spend money on. I am an engineering major so I dug deep into the physics of how the cable works and the materials used to manufacture them. I figured the science was good to know but did not believe that it would make a difference. Low and behold I decided to try it out and see for myself! I immediately notices my video games had a clearer image on the screen.I did a compare to some netflix shows based off my old rockfish 19.99 cable and this cable and you could visibly see a difference as well. If you have the extra money to shell out and want a great quality picture, purchase this cable. Also just test it out before your return period lapses and try out how well you can see the difference. Trust me it was a fantastic buy. (and I'm normally a cheap person lol)

It's an HDMI Cable...Expensive One at That

Like the review summary above, it's an HDMI cable which works great. However it is very expensive. I purchased these (2x6ft) at the time I purchased a 4k TV. BB reduced the price of the TV to accommodate the 2 cables. As FYI, any high speed HDMI cable will work just fine and produce similar results. I connected a $5.99 HDMI cable I purchased from Amazon and there was no difference in Picture or Sound quality to my eyes. There is no doubt AudioQuest makes a great product, but I cannot justify the extra cost when compared to much lower price HDMI cable for same result.

I don't understand all of the negative comments about these cables. These cables are expensive, but they are also good cables. When I had my standard DVD player, I had a regular HDMI cable going to my receiver. The cables that came with the player worked fine. However, when I replaced that player with a new Sony 4K UHD player, those cables could not handle it. I replaced the standard HDMI cable with the AQ Cinnamon HDMI cable and noticed a huge difference.
First, the colors were brighter, and the picture more clear. But the biggest change was the lack of digital noise and digital artifacts during high-color, fast moving video. I did a before and after with the new Wonder Woman, John Wick, and John Wick 2, and the picture seemed more detailed. I also did a test with Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, both Blu Ray, and they looked better during some parts with these cables, especially the bright, high-color scenes.
I believe in these cables. I do not think they are for everybody, nor do I believe that everyone will see a major difference. If you are already using good cables, maybe these aren't for you. Also, not everyone want's the absolute best experience, and I understand that. But to give them a bad rating because you believe you paid too much or you think it is too expensive for them is not a quality review and does a disservice to others who are looking to improve their video.
I have been an AudioQuest user for many years. I started using AQ cables as an audiophile back in the late 1980's. My system was a McIntosh MX110 preamp, a McIntosh MC2505 amp, a modified original AR turntable, a Nakamichi RX202 cassette deck, and Mirage speakers. I changed my Monster Cable speaker cables with the AudioQuest Midnight cables. The AQ Midnight cables completely opened up the bottom end and brightened the music. The difference was almost overwhelming. As long as AQ continues to make quality cables, I will use them when I need them.

I wanted a better cable for my Sony 4k bluray player. Reguardless of what some others may think on better video cables, I am a firm believer. After I replaced my mediocre hdmi cord, I saw an improved picture right away. The picture was brighter, more color but the video was cleaner-sharper-clearer. It really is clearer. I am very happy with the cord. There are always difference in many cables. Examples: oxygen free speaker wire, oxygen can break up signal in sound. Ethernet cable which is 8 lines compared to 4 in phone cords. Generators can only use gauge 10 wire on down-thicker wire to handle the current. I could give more examples. Technology in cords do improve in time. It has to be better, always improving. I am very happy in my purchase of the improved hdmi cable. Great picture....

I bought two of these cables for my new Sony OLED tv and 4K player. I wanted to make sure I was going to get the best picture that I could and these cables didn’t disappoint. Picture is awesome! Very expensive compared to other cables that is why it only got four stars.

This is a very high quality cable, very expensive, but worth it when wanting to connect a OLED 4K tv to Uverse and Blue Ray systems.
This was the one the sale representative suggested we purchase as the quality we would see by using the other less expensive hdmi cables would negate the benefit of purchasing an OLED tv. It gives a beautiful picture quality and was a good choice. Wish the length was a little longer though for the price.
