This cable is more beneficial than an HDMI cable....it is much thinner, able to bend better, and you receive the same sound/picture quality.

Optical uses laser light to transmit audio signals through fiberoptic cabling to receivers or sound systems.

It connects my 4K tv audio to a Pioneer Elite receiver. The cable connects are nicely sized and every detail is well done. Performs as expected.
