The doorbell camera system offers a monthly subscription that offers you to record anyone approaching your door. I am often not home when my packages arrive, but in combination with the smart lock pro I can simple let the delivery person into my house while I am in the office, or make sure nobody takes anything from my doorstep. The sound and video quality are great, and I loved removing the old doorbell sound and instead having the doorbell ring on my phone. A little tip: if the doorbell is not receiving the right amount of power through your existing old doorbell set up -- get a new transformer. The one in my house was broken and delivered too little voltage.

Works well most of the time. I'm not happy with the time delay to access the video as it is uploading to the server. By the time I get access, whoever was at the door could have left. There are times when I just don't seem to get access to he video at all. I'm not sure if better integration with Android is needed or just application maturity. This system has the potential to be very good. The video storage price should be more inline with competitors or they may not fair well for longevity in the market.

Bought this to work in conjunction with my August lock. The two work fantastic together. Mounting was easy and viewing range is fantastic. I know when anyone is at my door. Great for when packages are left on my porch. I know when any of the kids get home and can watch and not answer door when salesmen, etc are present. Only glitch was I had to purchase a bigger wattage doorbell transformer to power it in the closet. $5 dollars online and about 5 more minutes and I was up and running.

It is ok and easy to install. You must read instructions as it requires AC.

This doorbell camera works great with the August ecosystem but I have to give it 4 stars because it takes a while to connect to the video feed and sometimes disconnects from the wifi network on it’s own. Other than that it does the job!

Easy to install and set up with an iPhone. When the button is pushed video and two-way sound starts. Excellent a/v quality. Motion detection works great.

Very easy to install. The August App makes it easy to get it up and running. Video quality is great and the audio is clear.

I got the entire august system. Everything works great, there are a few glitches here and there but overoverall, it's pretty good compared to others systems.

this is one of the august products that actually somewhat works ok. will not work on 5.8ghz wifi only on the the slower 2.4ghz. over 90 mins with August tech support trying to get it working. does not work seamlessly with the august smartlock or the keypad. I will be returning all three to Best buy for a refund. total waste of a day installing and trying to configure.

I had the 1st gen cam that August rolled out. It wasnt the greatest but it did what it needed to. The unit went out and August was kind enough to upgrade to their cam pro. Other than a few subtle differences, I just cannot endorse this cam. I can literally have someone come up to my door, mailman for example, drop the package and then the cam will recognize that someone is at the door, after they are walking away. No warning whatsover, oh but if the wind blows and one of my plants leaves moves it warns me about that. I have my sensitivity up to 100% and does not improve. I do a connection test and its fine. I had originally bought the Ring but as I had the August door lock I wanted to minimize the use of apps and I sorely regret that. Save yourself a headache please and skip on this cam.

The company has replaced doorbell camera once due to issue. The only notifications I get are school buses and dump trucks driving by. I get frequent deliveries at home, and doorbell camera does not detect someone coming up to my front door. I contact support and get run around that an update is coming out. Would not purchase again or recommend.

A little bugger than other video doorbells, but nevertheless, sleek looking. The company does not charge to keep recording, so that was a huge plus for me.

Connected with the network and was easy to install and use. Have it connected to a Wink hub and now working with other "robots" to connect everything

I wish I had this doorbell years ago. Very easy to I stall. It works great allowing people access remotely.

Doorbell didn’t work. Wasn’t compatible with my current system. Returned and purchased a ring.

The camera did not proceed to the first step for setup. Using the setup dock the camera is supposed to proceed to a white blinking light. After setting the camera on the setup dock per instructions a green light is displayed, but the light goes out after about 10 seconds and no blinking white lite appears. Troubleshooting instructions suggested trying a different power source for the dock, but several iphone chargers were tried with the same result. The reset button (suggested from troubleshooting) was also reset several times in each case, but no blinking white light appeared. Then went to Best Buy store to return and they said because I was not an "elite customer" there was nothing they could do because it was not within the 15 days allowed for returns???. This is obviously the last purchase I will ever make from Best Buy - $220 completely lost.
