Really easy to install and works really well for anyone who has a smartphone. I also installed them keypad and that works seamlessly and really well also. Recommended.

Installed the lock in less than 15 minutes and it works flawlessly. I did not think it could be this easy. I am very happy with the August lock and would definitely recommend it.

I was a little bit hesitant to get this based on some reviews but I’m glad I bought it. It’s very convenient because I can control it from anywhere. If I have a friend or relative that needs to get in my house, I can unlock it from the app. I even have it linked to Alexa! The only complaint I have is that sometimes it loses connection with my WiFi but it always reconnects within minutes.

After 4 months of usage, I would not recommend it. Batteries have to be replaced mostly even I have very good WiFi. Last time I need it, status was LOCK UNAVAILABLE and there was nothing I could do remote.

We bought this for our airbnb. Initially it worked great, it communicated with airbnb and would auto generate a code for the guest. That code would only be good from check in to check out. and once they checked out it would delete their codes. About 3 months in we kept getting a message saying the door was opening and closing (over 10x/minute). We recalibrated it, and it kept failing calibration. Then we lost the ability to communicate with the lock. We had our cleaners change the batteries, but still no luck. We also bought the keypad for the August Lock ~$50. The batteries on both only last about 6 weeks. So we were having our cleaners change them out every single month. We tried getting a hold of August tech support and since COVID they have become non-existent. Sorry, but I'm running a business here, so I had to make a switch.

Man, I love this thing. Setup was an absolute breeze, and it works flawlessly. Very happy with this purchase.

This lock is great for apartments. I am really enjoying this product. My favorite feature is that it will unlock as soon as I get to the door.

We really like this products so much we bought two of them. Super easy to install, only complaint is that we had to recalibrate them a couple of days after the initial install.

Love the features of this lock, such as proximity unlock. Easy to install. Love not having to take my house keys with me when I take the dog for a walk.

Great product works great once you get to know all the settings and tweak with them a bit. Only con is that it doesn't open when I walk up to the door automatically sometimes. Sometimes I have to reach in my pocket and open the app then wait for the app to load and then tap the unlock button and then wait for it to then unlock the door.

Had to return it due to it not working on my apartment door it due to the door lock that was installed on my apartment door not the correct type of lock for my apartment door.

I have had multiple august locks over the years. Solid smart home lock! This one has built in Wi-Fi which is much more reliable than the Wi-Fi bridge for the others. It would be a 5 star review but the HomeKit support is non functional. I am a techie and work in IT and have reset and tried to link HomeKit multiple times without success.

Excellent product. Piece of mind that my door is locked when I leave the house and before I sleep at night. Integrates well into Google Home ecosystem which is a must for us!

I was looking for an easy to install lock that works with HomeKit and came across this lock. It was very easy to install and works good with HomeKit.

Was a bit fussy to install at first, but stay with it ... even use the instructions! It's great that it unlocks the door as I pull in my garage

This lock advertises the two simple things I need: -Fits over existing deadbolt lock -Homekit support However, this does not work with HomeKit at all. I've tried following the instructions on both an iPhone, and iPad. The iPhone fails to add the lock to HomeKit with error "object not found" and the iPad fails with a different error. I've tried to add the lock to HomeKit via the Home app, which does add the lock to the Home app. But, once in the home app, you will always see "requires setup" or "no response". The Home app will tell you when it's been manually locked or unlocked, but will never actually control the lock. If you plan on buying this, you'll need to use their dedicated app. Ignore any claims that this works with any existing smart home solution.

Lock was easy to install and works well once we got the wifi signal in the area strong enough. Being able to get status with Alexa is a handy feature
