I returned it and opted for a Yale lock instead,

High Price but worth it.

It also does to make it appear you have a smart lock hooked up. Lots of nice features that you can utilize to make life easier.

Old gen was better

Great Smart Lock, zero damage install.

Works with Homekit and allows you to use the stock bolt and key which can be important if you are renting. Seems to have a lot more torque then the Gen 2.

Battery hog. And they’re not cheap batteries.

There’s nothing wrong with the installation or the Wi-Fi, or the batteries, i’ve even limited remote locking to save battery after first replacement, and they still last only about a month and a half. Don’t waste your money on this worthless trinket. Avoid the sales hype and do your research first. Consider locks with the steadier energy source.
