It eats through batteries very fast, and even with fresh, brand name batteries and a reconfiguration in the app it still does not full unlock the door. Now we just use it as a basic deadbolt. A shame since our august deadblot with a pinpad works great after two years, which is why we thought to try this for the front door.

Posted .As the W-Fi Smart Lock operates on battery power and uses Wi-Fi connectivity, it can drain the battery because of the wake-up time. (Using the device through Bluetooth or Remotely.) You may be eligible for a warranty exchange from the date of purchase up to one year. Please contact customer support for a possible warranty exchange and to address the battery drainage.

However, I had to return the 4th Gen because it is too buggy and couldn't get it to work consistently, which is a pretty big requirement for me when it comes to getting in and out of my house. It has all the features and even design for what I would be looking for in a lock, but it fails in execution. I would not recommend this product to any of my friends.
