Was looking for this particular version of the Avatar Blu-ray movie for a long time because I wanted to buy it new from Best Buy because I knew they occasionally had the movie in stock. I found it and for a great price of 14 dollars. I was very pleased with this purchase

My 12 year old daughter likes sci-fi stories but she never saw Avatar before. She was not excited about the package but I convince her to watch for 10 minutes before she wants to continue or not. Guess what - she watched the whole movie without interruption! This is quite unusual for my daughter and the story flow really catches her attention from beginning to the end - very good product and worth the money!

After watching the theatrical version of the film since its release this copy of the film comes with three different copy of the Avatar. You'll get the theatrical, extended edition, and collectors edition cut. The collectors edition cut does make the movie about three hours long, but does make the movie even better with more details flushing out the story even more

Once every 5 to 10 years a movie comes out that changes audience expectations and perceptions of what entertainment can be; Avatar is one of those movies. James Cameron is well known for his cinematic endeavors, Terminator 1 & 2, Titanic and even True Lies, but with Avatar, he really raised the bar high!! Stunning CGI, a compelling if somewhat familiar storyline, great actors and so much to take in you hardly notice the 3 hour plus running time!! If you like Sci Fi and fantasy you can't watch a better film.

Excellent Blue-ray with extras for this well done movie. Extra scenes help to explain some things that were not really clear in the original. Special effects are first rate, often breath taking. Battle scenes are very well done. If you saw the original you're going to really appreciate this edition. And if you didn't, you're in for a visual treat.

I watched the standard edition on dvd before I sold it, it was good. But the special edition and the extended cut version on blu ray was awesome. I like the extended cut better than the special edition because the extended cut has 16 minutes extra in the film. And the deleted scenes I watched is pretty great.

Love, love, love this movie! It's graphics are captivating, and the action sequences are stunning! This got sent to me quick, and in great condition! Can't wait to watch it over the weekend!

Bestbuy is the only place I could find this edition of the movie brand new. It came in excellent condition, I missed out on this when it first came out. So extremely happy, thank you all so very much. I'm buying movies from here from now on. Both my orders came in early.

This is the best Sci-Fi film ever! It is a visual phenomenon with superb acting from a creative genius director. My edition has 3 different interpretations which only enhances the visual pleasure in watching this masterpiece! Ranks at the top of my DVD collection!

I was a little uncertain at first, but I have to say, besides just a few places where "language" is used that wouldn't be appropriate for young children, this is a great movie w a good message of acceptance and peace. Although I don't like having bad language thrown around my 6 yr old, I've still managed to let him watch this and it's a family favorite! I definitely recommend this movie.

Finally... Avatar in 3D!!! I have been holding off for years on buying this movie waiting for the 3D Blu-ray to come out. It was only available in a 3D package from I think panasonic initially, but their deal must have finally expired. It's the same ol' movie from before but in 3D. If you already have it, and don't care about upgrading to 3D, there is nothing new. For the price... I found it a great deal.

This is a beautiful film, but only if you watch it in 3-D. If you only watched the Blu-ray version, then you're missing half the film. For a long while, this was only available if you purchased a Panasonic set. Now, it's available to everyone. It's one of the showcase films for 3-D content. While the storyline is okay, the visuals blow you away in 3-D. It's eye candy at its very best.

There are great movies and then there are great movies in 3D. Even if you don't particularly like 3D there are certain movies that you need to see. Top Gun is one. Sanctum is another and Avatar is a must. Don't let the sales people tell you 3D is dying out because it isn't. Not every movie is great in 3D but there are some like the one's I mentioned that are a must see in 3D.

Not only is Avatar a fantastic movie, but it stands out as a 3D film that really makes you appreciate in-home 3D experience. I have to admit, I didn't buy my new 4K Sony XBR because it had 3D, but when the feature was already included, I picked this movie up and WOW, am I impressed. The color is flawless. No shuttering or check board effects. Just an all out flawless representation of 3D technology.

This was the first real 3D movie I'd watched in my living room on my LG 3D TV. It was ALMOST like being in the movie theater, bearing in mind that you'll not be able to reproduce the real depth of 3D on a TV screen. Absolutely loved it and never get tired of watching it.

Great film, nicely priced. I just can’t understand the reason behind the re-release version when the extended version is much better. In any case, it is good to have all versions in this package

I’m so happy my closest Best Buy had this in stock! There was a bluray set that I was considering before but this one is beyond superior in my opinion. Love the packaging and looks outstanding if you are the type of person who likes to display them.

We've wanted to watch this movie for years. It looked so interesting and imaginative. It did not disappoint!!! It kept us on the edge of our seats the whole movie. Great adventure!!!

A great classic movie. The Avatar [Extended Collector's Edition] [3 Discs] [Blu-ray] [2009] is a must have. It shows exactly how they made the movie which is actually incredible. Might even be better than the movie itself. Toruk Makto, “Rider of Last Shadow” is unforgettable!
