Got this to go with our new 3D tv. Unfortunatly we had to BUY the 3D glasses to view the 3D content. Other than that the movie itself was awesome. The animation and graphics were stunning. It came with a standard DVD which I gave to my son.

My wife and I had not been seeing movies for years until we went to the imax 3D showing of this movie. We have been going to imax 3D movies ever since. It is incredible to see this in 3D at home.

What else can be said? This groundbreaking movie took 3-D to a whole new level: rather than having objects jump out at you, it pulls you the viewer into the scene, immersing you. You HAVE to see it in 3-D.

Had not been able to view blu-ray discs on my old TV in full resolution due to an aging TV. Upgraded to a new Toshiba 1080p led TV and now I see what all the fuss is about! Glorious picture - and an excellent movie!

I wish they would've released this version first instead of that silly movie only version. Just a plot by the studios to bleed fans dry. This more than makes up for it though. Everything you wanted to know about the world of Avatar.

Basically dances with wolves but with blue cat aliens. Though this is one of my all time favorite movie. This edition comes with two disks of extra features and has essentially 3 versions (theatrical, extended, and a slightly better theatrical) Just watch the extended, only 16 min longer but answers a lot of questions you might have had or just assumed answers to. Definitly Buy

Haven't really taken advantage of my 3D TV lately so I purchased this 3D version of the movie and it was awesome. It's a good movie, as well. Necessity to have in your collection if you have a 3D TV.

I read so many reviews about if you only have 1 3d movie in your library this is the one, well, this is the one! Amazing! It really comes to life right in your own home. A must buy for anyone with a 3D theater.

The film itself is a visual masterpiece and it includes 3 versions of the movie. It also comes packed with hours of extra materials to delve deeper into the making of.

This is perhaps the standard by which all movies shot in 3D should be compared to.... a pure reference 3D disc if there ever was one. Nice thing is I recently purchased this and still got the Lenticular slipcover on it.

I've loved Avatar sense the first time I saw it at the IMAX 3D years ago. This Blue Ray was VERY comperable to the origional experience. The best thing is being able to have the experience with all the cunforts of home, at home.

The BluRay of Avatar is wonderful, with several versions in the set as well as fascinating bonus features. The clarity and detail in the BluRay version is amazing. This is a movie I will watch again and again.

I borrowed my friend's copy of this movie and was upset I had to give it back. That's how good this movie was. So I had to pick up a copy. In my opinion, one of the best movies of all time flooded with sci-fy adventure!

James Cameron not only made a great film but it represents what happens when we think that we’re more powerful because we think we’re technology superior

This is a visually stunning movie that will bring out the best ( or worst ) of your HD display and surround sound. The underlying moral of the storyline provides a good teaching moment for younger family members!

This movie is an epic adventure filled with great visual effects and amazing story plot. James Cameron will not let you down with this movie. You will be amazed the detail of Avatar was put in.

I never saw Avatar at the theater in 3D so this was a real treat to see it on my Samsung Blu-Ray and TV. The visual effects were stunning and very colorful. I enjoyed this movie very much even after seeing it in 2D several times.

I have the original Blu-Ray version of Avatar, and was always happy with it, but the 3D version truly makes this movie visually spectacular, with wonderful depth and realism. If you have a 3D TV you have to have this version!

Great movie. Had to upgrade to the Blu-ray version. Glad I did. Looks great on my TV.

The extended version does add a little bit more insight to Earth and the Navi culture. The visuals are still superb 11 years later and even more so on a 4K tv.
