3D is fantastic with a larger screen, >65", and quality television, Samsung 8000. Plasma in a dark room would probably be even better. The movie is a iconic work of artistry and imagination. A sequel is not needed!

I saw the original in the theater when the movie came out, not in 3D, and honestly didn't care for it much then, but seeing it in 3D is a whole new experience! Still didn't care much for the movie but the effects kept me glued to the TV. I've seen other 3D movies since that were better, thats why I gave it 4 stars. I guess I just didn't like the movie vey much....lol. But its fun to watch!

James Cameron does a great job directing one of the best sci-fi films of our time! The three-disc Bluray has a lot of different special features as well. Can't wait for the sequels.

I loved watching the characters in this film and the environment with the creatures they created were wonderfully colorful. Brighter, bigger, bolder with the feeling that Pandora is real and not just a film.

Avatar is the type of movie meant to be seen on large screen. Rumored to be more t movies to fun to it as a box behind the ed set with the behind scenes extras. Excellent sound the picture.

Greatest movie I've seen in a long time. Graphics are excellent and has a good story line. Kid friendly and great actors in here!

Finally finished new media room, so wanted the latest TV, DVD, and MOVIE technology out there. Have had great luck with Samsung, so went with their products.

Though the movie looks outstanding, the plot is just okay. It's the same plot you've seen in many other movies, but still enjoyable to watch. The first half of the movie is gorgeous while it tries to immerse you in the environment on Pandora, which is really where the 3D shines with all of the colors and lighting. If you want a good quality picture, this is the movie to test out on that new TV.

Watched this on my 65in 4k hdr sony and was blown away. Upscaled using my bluray to 4k and the colors and details jump out of the screen. Great movie for setting up your 4k tv.

My favorite movie. I have it on 3D but now have nothing to play my 3D movies on.

This is very classic in the sense that this movie was the very first 3D movie. The graphic is very pretty (scenery) so I always wanted to buy this one in 3D and I finally did it!

One of the best 3D Blurays you can buy, I already own the bluray extended edition but when I saw the 3D version I had to get it. The movie it self is great and definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
