So this product has terrible reviews all over the web and everyone complains that it doesn't work for apple car play and android auto. I can confirm this DOES work in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS WITH MODIFICATIONS. The long story short is that this cable is simply too long and needs to be shortened. All of the pin outs are in the correct location for data, power, and aux transmission as I compared this cable to the factory wiring harness that it replaces. The problem with this cable and what I suspect makes it unusable for almost everyone who tries it, is that the cable is too long and the wiring is not copper. I also believe this wiring is too small of gauge and creates too much resistance . It is simply unable to carry the data all the way back to the stereo from the factory usb port. I realized that with a short 2" iPhone cable connected that it would sometimes recognize and activate carplay. So what I ended up doing to get this to function properly, was cut about 15" out of the usb cable and splice it back together. I shortened the entire length of the cable in half. This GREATLY reduced resistance down the wire, improved signal strength and completely fixed the issues that everyone has with carplay not working and phones not charging or being recognized. The other problems with it, are that it does not include pins for the illumination lights. This cable only has AUX L/R and 4 Pin USB and ground wires.

Before purchasing make sure your radio has AUX IN ports and USB. The one i bought didnt have AUX IN but had usb so i dont get the full functionality but i can charge my phone with it.

The harness works just fine in my 2012 Kia.I am so glad we purchased it for our car.

Apple carplay wont work with this harness, can be used for charging. Technician said it might have too much resistance. USB may work did not test that.

As is descripted work phenomenal and can i use my oe features from original outlets with no issues at all

This harness is awsome. I was planing on spicing the cables myself but this harness made my life infinitely easier. I am now able to use the built in 3.5 and USB port.

I'd had a new head unit installed, but the USB connector was run through the glove compartment. This part was ordered to connect to the vehicle's built in USB port. When I arrived for the appointment, the tech told me it would be a waste of time to install it as he's never seen it work properly on Kia vehicles. Returned it (after an excruciatingly long process with the person at the pick up counter).

Part is well made at a reasonable price. Totally wrong for my radio install. Had to also purchase a RCA to stereo jack for proper hookup.
