    Attach Large Binoculars to a Tripod for Observing

    I purchased this adopter to attach my 20X70 binoculars (a bit heavy without a tripod) to a large tripod. Works great, and easy to install on the tripod.

    My goal was to mount a large pair of binoculars onto a tripod. This device attached easily to the binoculars but the screw head on the tripod mounting surface doesn’t grab hold of the base of this adapter. Maybe it’s a tripod problem and not the adapter, need to try another device. It has a strong industrial smell too, can’t imagine what it’s made of.
