Only good for holding the headset and RPG , the Usb ports are kinda useless , they dont provide enough power to power some appliances , especially if you are using all 3 at the same time..

I couldn’t get the stand to power anything. I started checking the manufacturer site etc to troubleshoot it and found out from a review it requires windows 10. This will not work as a stand alone power hub. I’m returning it for a different stand as I’m not paying this much for just a stand. I do not blame Bestbuy as razer themselves does not make this information easy to find.

Ok so there is a mistake i made with my purchase and I will own up to it and admit that I should have definitely done my research prior to buying.
So, this works great with my windows 7 pro pc the 3 USB ports are 5 volts but share the 2 amp hours that the pc USB port provides so if you have the BT kraken kitty Edition Headphones and have a mouse and keyboard plugged into the 3 ports, the headphones will NOT charge and I get a blinking light on the headphones, however if I disconnect the keyboard or mouse then the headphones begin to charge properly. Unfortunately there is no way to raise the Amp Hour Load from the pc OS so it would be great if this base stand would work with an external USB power brick that can give it enough power to do its job. However it would take away the RGB lighting function as it won't light up at all unless its plugged into the pc and controlled by the Synapses 3 software.
What does the RGB Lighting NOT work with? It doesn't work with Chromebooks. Synapses 3 is not supported on Chromebooks and I also found out that even if you install the android version of the RGB chroma, it won't work on Chromebooks either to control the rgb lighting of the Bluetooth headphones. The headphones do connect with zero issues for audio but not RGB and thats the main issue, I bought this for my daughter to use with her chromebook. The reason I bought it was because I got the chroma mouse pad v2 from razer and when I plugged in the mouse pad the RGB lights powered on and it cycled random colors which I was cool with that so I figured, if it worked like that then the rgb base station should work that way too. But nope it wouldn't power on at all.
So my 2 stars are based on the USB port power function and the fact that the RGB light won't turn on at all on the chromebook because I can't install the drivers needed to control the device.
I know Chromebooks are not intended for gaming but I bought this simply for the pink color and to at least get the RGB Lighting effect even if I couldn't control the color change.
