If you are a Batman fan you will enjoy this game! I have played all the other games that tie into this series (include Asylum, City, and Origins) and this game lives up to the hype. If you are a fan of this genre and play style of game then this is an easy must by. Being the first game for the Dark Knight on PS4/Xbox 1 the graphics are incredible. I haven't gotten a chance to really dive into this game yet but so far so good, I am impressed! The only thing I would count as a knock against the game is the Batmobile. Controls could be a little better. Give this game a shot!

I've loved all of the Batman Arkham games, and Arkham Knight is no different. The story is great, the gameplay is fun, and it looks amazing on the PS4. The Batmobile was a little unwieldy at first, but it gets better as you get used to the controls and get some of the later upgrades for the vehicle. I did feel like there were a few too many required Batmobile segments in the story, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game as a whole. Overall, I'd say this game is awesome, and a must-play for any Batman fan!

Overall this game is great the city feels huge with several islands in Gotham to explore, great cinemas, voice acting by the guys from the original cartoon are all there, an interesting storyline that keeps you guessing and all of the gameplay you expect from an Arkham game on a larger scale. A sure buy, you are not going to find a better Batman experience. Only a couple of things keep it from being a perfect score. One it is great the batmobile is in the game, but there are too many missions where you have to use it as a tank. And that brings me to # two. The game's ending feels incomplete, even after you finish the main story you have to complete EVERY side mission (including the tank and Riddler challenges) in the game to get the real ending.

Pros:
-The combat and predator systems are still fantastic, with little bits making things even better this time around.
-Huge city, bigger than City and Origins.
-Storyline is the best in the series, certainly the darkest,, with many good twists and turns.
-Once you get used to the controls, the Batmobile is amazing.
Cons:
-But to start with, the Batmobile is kind of difficult to deal with.
-And it's been shoehorned into so much of the gameplay.
-Stealth Tank sections are a pain in the butt.

this game is beautiful. and it's so ambitious for the creators to have created the setting of the single night this game takes place during a thunderstorm with lightning strikes that cast ominous shadows everywhere. you can almost feel the wet leather mesh, beads of moisture falling off batman's cape...
the gameplay is, for the most part, exactly the same as the previous incarnations of the batman saga. the myriad of button moves (attack, counter, fire bat claw, etc) are all too familiar.
however, this chapter in the batman saga gives us something new. the batmobile. a balls to the wall version too. and for the first time ever in the batman series, the player can now control the batmobile and speed down the corridors of gotham as well as traverse the rooftops and strike back when in battle-mode...but...
the control sucks. R2 accelerates the machine, but Square brakes and reverses. ok, in my mind, most games would have placed the acceleration as the X button. or if R2 accelerates, why doesn't R1 reverse and brake? and L2 puts you into battle mode...and while in battle mode, R1 fires the machine gun and R2 fires the missiles. ok. but when you're driving and all of a sudden encounter enemies and you find yourself amongst 5 tanks trying to gun you down, the first thing you do is panic trying to find battle mode...but don't accidentally hit L1 cuz that'll pop Batman out of the Batmobile and make you more likely to get shot. and while you're trying to strafe and move forward and back (using the L3 joystick) and trying to fire, you might let go of the L2 button and then you're back into regular batmobile mode....where you're trying to go by using the L3 joystick...oh wait!, that's not right,...R2...! (hit the wall), aw man!! (hit square, reversing too much)...shoot shoot shoot!!! get outta there!!!
and to throw an even bigger monkey wrench into the mix, Triangle is turbo boost engine. if Square is reverse, and Triangle is turbo boost, WHY WOULD YOU NOT MAKE X ACCELERATE??? what kinda button configuration is that???
ugh. anyways, that's my only complaint about this game. other than that it's pretty solid.

I will start by admitting that this game was far from perfect, and in some aspects, it even let me down. However, for every thing that this game missed, it somehow scored on another (and often times unexpected) area.
At the moment, the game all but lacks the traditional challenge maps long associated with the game franchise. However, the main story is filled to the brim with fun and challenging side missions, including combat and predator scenarios to make up for their absence outside the main game.
The Batmobile was needlessly overused in puzzle solving, platforming, and racing. However, the addition of the long-awaited Batmobile to the series did feel organic otherwise, and it was totally awesome to drive! The driving mechanics were finely tuned and meshed well with Batman's abilities and needs. And speaking of Batman's abilities, this is the definitive version of Batman. His moves, gadgets, skills, techniques, and even voice acting are all at their peaks. In Arkham Knight, you don't play as Batman, you ARE THE BATMAN.
The plot itself was good, if predictable a times. However, Arkham Knight really shined when it came to storytelling. Every moment was suspenseful and weighty, with meaningful character interactions and the best environmental and atmospheric designs in the franchise. You could know what is coming next and still enjoy the story for the sole reason that it is told so well.
Although some parts of the game fall short, they all meld together to make a much stronger whole than any game preceding it. The game is beautiful, exciting, and challenging. Everyone should get Batman Arkham Knight

Bought this game new from Best Buy for around $15 on sale, which is an amazing deal for a fairly new AAA title of the quality of Batman Arkham Knight. Story is outstanding, as are the graphics and sound. Shares many of the same great core gameplay mechanics from the previous game Batman Arkham City, but also focuses a lot on the Batmobile, many people thought even too much. Great overall game and value for your money, 5/5.

This will be a spoiler free in this review. I like to start off by saying I love the the pervious batman games and finished them both mulitple tomes, so i might be a little more critical on the gameplay aspect of batman Aknight. Now to the review.
Let's start with the good, this game is beautiful filled with character and life. This is soo much detail you could play the game for hours and hours and find things you never noticed before. Also on the ps4 the game runs smooth with little to no slowdown. Secondly the combat is great and fun to play if not unrealistic. In this game batman fly across the screen in combat to distances that seem impossible for any human to do but I guess he is batman. Lastly, I really enjoy the way the story is presented. Some might like the story some might not, but the way it is presented and the way side mission so up is much more organic then the pervious games it is without the best part of the game.
Now to the bad (or what I personally didn't like)
The batmoblie. Period. Full stop. It handles like a big butted beast. The breaks do not stop the car and it always wants to fishtail into everything. You do get used to it like figuring out to switch back and forth between battle mode and drive mode to make sharp turns or reverse quickly but it is still a pain. Also the inclusion of the batmoblie in puzzles is annoying and un-needed, it just slows down the game to a trial and error marathon. I just want to be batman sometimes and the game forces you to be his car. Being forced to be anything in a "open world" game is just not fun and don't get me started on the batmoblie platforming sections. Yeah you read that right the game has car platforming.
Overall
I really enjoyed this game and if you played the pervious games and don't want the story spoiled I highly recommend it. It is a good game if not a bit frustrating (looking at you batmoblie). But if you play games more for the gameplay I say wait for a price drop or the "complete" edition later this year or early next.

All I can say is wow! This game is amazing from good story to great graphics. Batman arkham knight is a must own. I've played most major releases for the PS4 and to me this stands above the rest. I have yet to finish the main story because its so easy to get lost in the fluid combat and fun side missions. I'm about %70 with the main story and has been great through and through, don't over think your purchase buy it.

Arkham Knight is a fantastic open world-isn game experience. It is a large world that you can explore at your leisure. The story is the star of this game, and has a few twists and turns that are nicely consistent with some classic storylines. Tank battles have been panned by critics, but I found them to be good fun, with a few rare exceptions. The biggest problem I have with the game was the lack of boss fights.

I will start off by saying that this game is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the best looking games I have seen on current consoles (PS4/XboxOne) thus far.
The game play is vastly similar to the previous two games, so if you were a fan of those games, you will enjoy this one. For anyone who hasn't played a game from the series yet, the game is an open world adventure where you complete both main story missions, and side story missions to progress through the game.
The combat system is largely unchanged from the previous games, but those who haven't played the games before, it places heavy rewards on the proper timing of strikes and counters as you beat up waves of enemies. The combat is one of the most gratifying parts of the game in my opinion, and you really enjoy the challenge of taking on tremendous amounts of enemies at once when you get the hang of the combat system.
The batmobile is one of the most notable new additions, and I have seen a lot of reviewers saying that they don't like it. I can understand where they are coming from, but although I don't really think it was a necessary addition to the game, they did at least try to incorporate the new abilities tied to the batmobile into the game in thoughtful ways.
Part of the reason that I think the batmobile isn't as enjoyable for some gamers is because using your grappling hook to shoot into the air, and then gliding around the city with your cape is one of the highlights of the game.
Overall I certainly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series, or enjoys open world games. Rocksteady (the developer) has done a phenomenal job crafting a game that makes you feel like you truly are batman. Between the combat, the super-cool detective mode to look for clues, and all of the gadgets at your disposal, you really don't ever get the feeling that there is something missing from the experience.

Overall, this is a satisfying end to Rocksteady's Batman Arkham games. The combat is fun, as usual, the graphics are great, and the story is on point. If you liked the previous Arkham games, then you will like this one as well.
However, I do have one huge complaint about the game. The biggest offender is the batmobile, which I feel was shoved down our throats. I was getting ready for an epic boss fight, only to find out it was just another batmobile tank battle. It was quite disappointing. For that reason, I have to give the game a 4/5 instead of a 5/5.

Although not the best in the series, it is still an amazing game and a must play for any fans of the Arkham series. The batmobile game play is really cool but at times troublesome since it's forced on you. The lack of boss fights also held it back from being the best game in the series. But the story and overall game play is still some of the best out there. Highly recommend it!

I haven't played through the whole game yet, but so far it has been one of the best experience I've had in such a long time. Graphics and game play is fluid and smooth, story thus far is great. It feels like Rocksteady knows how to bring these Batman video games full circle. A must have. I recommend getting the Season Pass if you are a true Batman Enthusiast!

In my opinion Batman: Arkham Origins was extremely disappointing. It felt mundane, repetitive, and disjointed compared to the previous titles. Arkham Knight rebounds in a huge way. Adding vehicle action to diversify gameplay, new villains, same great voice acting, and classic puzzle solving. Advancements in combat as well. Pick up this title ASAP.

Like most console gamers, I have greatly enjoyed the "Arkham" Trilogy by Rocksteady Studios, I say that because I did not complete Arkham Origins (Dev by Warner Bros.), however I did beat that now infamouse Deathstrokeboss fight but after that the game felt very recylced and I told my self I would for next-gen Arkham installment by Rocksteady.
Just let me say, it was def worth the wait! Arkham Knight is a fitting finale for Rocksteady and I couldnt be happier playing it on the PS4. The game looks polished and plays very smoothly. It is the same Arkham formula however they changed just enough to make it feel like a whole new experience. The inclusion of the Batmobile has generally been positive however there are parts the game where it feels forced, echoed by gamers alike. Also the droid tank battle seem a bit out of place. Nothing feels more satisfying then launching out of the Batmobile, gliding, then entering the Batmobile all in one motion!
The game also game with tons of FREE DLC. The Harley Quinn Story, Wayne Tech Upgrades, New 52 Skins, Classic Skins, and the Sony PS4 Exclusive Scarecrow missions.
Props to Rocksteady Studios, DC Comics and Warner Bros. for putting out a classic! Get this game now!!!

I've played the entire Arkham trilogy as well as the offshoot Origins game and can say without a doubt that this is by far the most expansive, in depth and fun game of them all. There is plenty to do and see and multiple endings encouraging you to complete everything. Phenomenal story, gameplay and voice acting. 10/10 would buy again
