I always look forward to the DC Animated Features, since most are Batman related, normally those are the better ones. This one is no exception, it took a complex story line called The Court of Owls and it developed both Damian Wayne as an established Robin as well as the story of the court. The title is basically the conflict in the dynamic between Batman and this new Robin, but also the one between father and son. It is entertaining and the animation is well executed.

Loved this movie. The set-up and storyline were perfect. I loved the continuity that this franchise projects. And I enjoyed that they injected some fatherly humanism into Batman. The story arch from The Son of Batman to this movie was well-reflected here and you could see Batman's love for his son has truly evolved. The language and violence is little more racy and less child-friendly, so be careful when sitting down with the wee ones. It's not for the faint of heart.

    Batman vs. Robin

If you've seen this movie's prior incursion (Son of Batman) you will find out in Batman vs Robin what happens once the boy settles in with living with Batman, and how his prior conditioning conflicts with the caped crusader's teachings. I wouldn't recommend this movie to young kids due to certain more mature subjects raised and the level of violence depicted, however, for older kids and above, this comes highly recommended.

Fairly good adaptation of "Court of Owls" story

When I first heard this was coming out, I was excited, as "The Court of Owls" storyline was one of my favorite Batman stories in recent years. There are some very stark differences between the two tellings of the story, but if the animated version is just taken as it is, it is entertaining. My biggest gripe is that the figure included with the Best Buy exclusive was kinds lame; should've been Robin or one of the Talons.

To start I would like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the Animated movies that DC and WB have had to offer. With all the hype and excitement of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and takeover of cinema all together, its nice to see that DC can still dish out some punches as far as movies go. This movie had its high points and low points. If you have read the comic books or graphic novels that contain the Court of Owls you would probably agree with me that there were too many holes in the story and origin of this incredible force opposite of Batman and Bruce Wayne. The changes in the story are disappointing and drastic. If they had done what Batman Year one and The Dark Knight Returns had done and kept the core of the story and change small things here and there. I wasn't expecting this story at all with the title of the movie. The relationship between Bruce and Damian was surprisingly done well, even though the movie before this it seems that they got along well in the end, and the fight scenes had great angles and action. I admit i cringed when Nightwings arms and legs were impaled by the Talons. There are plenty of extra special features also. I believe 4 full episodes 2 of which I recognize and I believe i remember watching from the old 90's Batman and the Superman animated series. I have yet to watch the 2 Featurettes that pertain to The Court of Owls for fear of further disappointment. I give this a 2 star rating only because of the great portrayal of rebellion from Robin and the fact that Dick Grayson was featured. But the plot holes, the missing scenes with Batman going completely mental, and the amazing story to the secrets of The Court of Owls completely being cut out from the main movie held this back from what could have possible been the greatest Batman movie ever. I recommend everyone to pick up the the New 52 Batman issues 1- 15, or 16 I can't recall, or graphic novels. As far as the movie goes I would say it is only worth a rental.

    Another Great DC Animated Movie

Batman vs. Robin is a pretty good adaptation of the similar comic storyline (blended with the Court of Owls). Bruce Wayne (Batman) is attempting to teach his son Damian (Robin) and deprogram his League of Assassins training. Meanwhile, the Court of Owls and their Talons are trying to recruit Damian. Several Bat-family guests make an appearance. Another winning animated feature for DC.

Dynamic Duo But Not So Much...

How do you take characters that are decades old and infuse them with new life for the sophisticated and jaded comic book fan? You raise the stakes and let simmering resentments explode in violence. Sure, 1966 Batman would wet his tights, but since Frank Miller's essential Batman tome, Dark Knight Returns, we are now expect full on adult reactions with comic book level violence. Not Disappointed!

    Follow-up to Son of Batman

While this movie doesn't match up to the standards set by previous DCU Batman films such as The Dark Knight Returns (2012), it is a fair follow-up to Son of Batman (2014). Loosely based on the DC Comics 2011-2012 story arcs "The Court of Owls" and "Night of the Owls," Batman Vs. Robin introduces movie audiences to the Court of Owls, a secret society as old as Gotham, and their assassins, the Talons.

Very cool to see the Court of Owls and Talon in a movie! Good to see what was on pages now in motion and on our screens! Not for younger kids, as there are some sexually suggestive situations (wasn't prepared for that as my young son was watching this with me) but the story is very cool. Nice portrayal of Batman and some of his allies as well. Always cool to see Nightwing doing some fighting!

The purchase price for me was very affordable and reasonable, but the movie itself is most assuredly worth your time ... way more so than the Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice film. the DC Animated Universe consistently delivers quality stories with compelling characters. Must see for anyone interested in the superhero genre of films, animated or live action.

Good Animated Batman Movie, But Not Great

Compared to Under the Red Hood, Return of the Joker, and even its prequel, Son of Batman, Batman vs Robin is not great. But it is still enjoyable overall and a good translation of the Snyder-Capullo Court of Owls/Night of Owls storylines. This would have been better as two separate movies, instead of trying to cram in both the Night of Owls story and Talon Story into one 2 hour movie.

This Batman vs Robin movie continues the storyline from The Son of Batman. The Owls back drop has a good plot and offers yet another different Batman villain to combat. Weird Al Yankovic as the Dollmaker was a great cast. Seeing Robin vs NightWing was also pretty cool. These last few Batman movies are showing Bruce Wayne in a more humane way that we usually don't see.

So I Love Batman but I am not a big fan of Damian Wayne as the new Robin. This movie blends two different stories from the Batman mythos together (Court of Owls & Batman vs Robin). The story was better than the previous movie. If your a fan of the DCU movies this one doesn't disappoint but if you want it to be true to the actual storyline, you may want to skip it.

This movie is a great sequel to Son of Batman but it can also stand alone in it's own right. (My Son Feels you must see both) . I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, voice acting and animation. No spoilers but some really cool things were done with the voice acting. This a movie that must be seen by Robin and Batman fans alike. Not to be missed.

Being a fan of the Bat since I was a little kid, this is a great one. Bringing a son in was an excellent idea. The writers are doing a great job, introducing new plots and story lines. it will keep even us old folks interested for years to come. If you have not seen Son of Batman, do not watch this one yet. Watch them in order to get the total effect.

Love the Animation and fighting style used in this & Son of Batman (same production and animation crew). Always like getting a story with a new enemy or situation for Batman to face that I am not already familiar with. the court of owls is a cool story Arc about the elite underworld of Gotham that was cool to see brought to animation.

DC should skip the live action stuff and stick their animated features, even the average ones are pretty good. Batman vs Robin is pretty solid and it was cool to the Court of Owls get some attention as well. If you're fan of the Dark Knight or just enjoy a solid animated movie check this one out.

The continuing adventures of Bruce Wayne raising a child & Batman a partner proves to be another great entry in the DC animated film library. I love how they use the Court of Owls storyline and Jason O'Mara is starting to make Batman his own. I highly recommend this to any fan of Batman, plus Talon is one of the better villains in some time...

DC animated universe is on point with this series of animated movies. The stories are entertaining and engaging. This entry is no less entertaining. I loved this story. Without giving anything away. All I can say is pick up both Son of Batman and Batman vs Robin, grab some popcorn and a glass of wine (not for kids ) and enjoy.

If you saw "Son of Batman" then you need to see "Batman Vs. Robin." In this film we continue to focus on Damian Wayne and how his character develops. I really enjoyed this one and was equally excited when I saw that "Batman:Bad Blood" was released. I would highly recommend this if you are a fan of DCU animated movies.
