Customers frequently mention the enjoyable gameplay, immersive story, and engaging single-player campaign of Battlefield Hardline. Many also praised the action-packed nature and affordable price point. However, some players expressed disappointment with the size of the maps and the selection of vehicles. The game's overall reception appears to be positive, despite these minor criticisms.

Battlefield hardline feels and play better than battlefield 4. Variety of modes to play single player but mostly multiplayer. my fiends and I have some funny times online playing cops and robbers. the only bad things I can say is that I wish we had more maps to play and I wish I turn off the bad language in the game so my nephew can play.

Battlefield hardline is a very good game. It may star slow with less action, but lots of action occurs as the game progresses. This is a new genre from the typical battlefield where you are a soldier back in the old days; this is cop and robber type. Overall, highly recommended for lovers who like cop and robber type game.

I have been a fan of the Battlefield series for nearly a decade. The series has admittedly had some weak campaign experiences since the "Bad Company" games, but I believe Hardline has definitely taken a step in the right direction with it's episodic crime action/drama feel. Each level provides plenty of opportunities for choice. Whether it is taking a stealth approach to isolate and arrest individual enemies or spending the time necessary to search for evidence to provide unique kit unlocks, this game definitely offers more opportunities than the standard move from point A to point B and kill everyone along the way. The campaign also offers several adrenaline pumping car-chases that will have you racing through populated streets squealing tires and shooting sparks as you barrel through debris and narrowly miss obstacles. The game offers several difficulty levels to help tailor the experience to your own particular skill level and while I am not new to the series, playing on veteran does not feel quite as challenging as games in the past. All in all, still a very fun experience.
People tend to play the Battlefield series for realism, responsiveness and scope of it's multiplayer. Hardline still presents a multiplayer experience loaded with various firearm and equipment unlocks. It also maintains the large and varied map design that allows up to 64 players to compete at once. The staples of the BF series are still present, you are still able to play conquest and tdm, but the addition of several new game modes helps to add enough variety to the game to make it feel like a worthwhile purchase. In addition to new game modes that involve car chases and vault cracking, series veterans will notice that the game feels a bit faster. It feels like player movement has been increased and that makes it a bit easier to cross some of the larger maps without relying so much on vehicles. The gun-play still feels very in-line with traditional battlefield games. One of the major differences you will find between Hardline and previous BF games it the lack of armored vehicles. Vehicles have had their roles changed from artillery support to fast and fragile methods of transportation. On the whole, this has put the emphasis of the multiplayer experience on shootouts and traversing the maps on foot, which I tend to prefer anyways. The only potential downside to the multiplayer aspect of the game that I have found at this point is that the environments seem to be less destructible than in previous games and the nonlinear kit unlocks provide less incentive to try new guns and loadouts once you find the first set of equipment that works for you. In conclusion, I think Battlefield Hardline is an excellent addition to the series and if you have enjoyed the battlefield games of the past and you don't mind trying some new mechanics, this game is a solid buy.

I think this is a great game if you're into Battlefield games. I happen to really enjoy them so this is right in my wheelhouse. I love the single player story. The new episodic structure works great. Great twist in the middle of the season. Definitely an upgrade to previous stories. Multiplayer is as good as ever. Love the new modes. I definitely recommend giving this game a shot.

The single player is like a tv show, It's pretty neat and is more interesting than the typical single player campaign that these types of games usually have. The multiplayer is pretty fun with the various game modes. I kind of miss some of the extra vehicles and things in BF4, but the objectives and modes in Hardline make it interesting.

I am really enjoying this game. It is a fun and additive game. The single player mode is shown like it is a TV series with each level an episode. The cops and robbers aspect is a unique take and welcome change from the war games in the past. I enjoyed those games as well, but this is a nice change. I like the story and have enjoy the characters in the story. Overall, this has been a fun game to play.

A Different Type of Battlefield Game

This Battlefield definitely has a different feel to it. It is not like other Battlefield games before it. In my opinion, the single player campaign is ok. It doesn't quite feel like battlefield. When you get into the multiplayer it begins to feel more like a Battlefield game. Although, in my opinion, it doesn't quite reach the same level of satisfaction as if you were playing Battlefield 4. The lack of really interesting vehicles doesn't help. I understand they were trying something different but it just doesn't feel completely like a Battlefield game. Those things aside, the game is still fun and once you put a few hours into the mulltiplayer it will start to grow on you. Don't begin playing this game and expect what Battlefield 4 did. It is different, but still fun and entertaining in its own way.

Great game. I loved how the single player was done up as TV episodes. Also a nice change of pace from the old single player campaign in other Battelfield games. Also the online is still good old battlefield.

Reasons to play the campaign: There is a lot of effort spent by Visceral in creating an immersive campaign, and it is my favorite BF campaign, after BC2, obviously! (I realize that it being my "favorite" is not a good reason, but I think it conveys my enjoyment). Also, the campaign is more of a centerpiece than other BF games. And, I don't think I am the only one who feels that way; look at reviews by Polygon and other sources and you get more of the same feel.
Campaign:
-The campaign took ~9.5 hours to beat (which is decently longer than it took me to beat BF4, as I recall)
-The campaign is divided into 10 episodes. I mean this literally; at the beginning of most of the episodes they have a "previously" on segment that highlights what happened. I actually found it very engrossing and was enjoying myself thoroughly because of things like this.
-It doesn't really highlight current relevant cultural questions regarding militarization of the police, in my opinion. I don't want to get into spoilers; but, the game absolutely does not take itself too seriously. Do NOT get me wrong, you ARE a cop running around with carbines blasting 100s of enemies. I just mean to say that while it may be odd if you were to look at it on paper without context, I recognize it as a platform for the audience to get to experience a slight twist on his or her typical Battlefield experience. That was wordy; I apologize.
-The graphics are better than average. They are definitely better than MP graphics, which I cannot explain, but I honestly feel they are. The facial expressions you can view are very good and remind me of L.A. Noire. Basically, I personally thought the graphics were more than adequate enough to keep me immersed.
-You can subdue enemies via handcuffs (arresting) if you are able to get within melee range without being detected. I did this probably less than 20 times, as it kind of felt out of place to me in this kind of game.
-The load times seem longer than usual for most FPS games, for some reason.

The graphics are amazing. Campaign mode actually has a good story line to it, unlike the other battlefields. multi-player is the best part of the game. The only issue I have with this game is the server. Runs good for the most part, but then kicks you off. I have the fastest internet, so I know it's not that. The other nite there was only 3 or so games that actually played. Still has a few bugs, but still worth buying.

I've been having a lot of fun with this game. Its not your traditional military themed Battlefield game. It deals with Cop and Criminals. I love the new game modes like Heist and Hotwire. The campaign is actually interesting to play. It plays almost like an episode of a crime TV show. Overall great graphics, fun multiplayer, and interesting campaign. Give it a try if you love the Battlefield series.

I play a lot of battlefields. This game is much faster-esoecially the multi-player. I prefer the pace of bf4, but I have enjoyed my time with hard-line. I enjoyed the single player, although the arresting suspects mechanic got a little tired. It occasionally felt unrealistic that it didn't notify enemies nearby.
It'a an enjoyable game, and you probably already have a good idea if you'll like it.

We absolutely love this game. My boyfriend and I both play he is ahead of me under his profile, so he won't let me see where he is in the game anymore, because its like watching TV episodes that you help create. It is so addictive, has you wanting more. The graphics are awesome, the story line is captivating. So far so good. We are still playing this game, but its truly hard to put down.

I've been a battlefield fan since battlefield 1942. My favorite has been the Bad Company games. With that being said Hardline is a fun game to play, but not a great one. There has not been enough innovation with Hardline to call it a great game. There is just something about playing as cops and robbers that just does not play out as well as the developers had hoped. One of the best things about the Battlefield series of games is that it always strived for a realistic style of gameplay. The damage you can cause to buildings adds a sense of how the environment plays a part in adding cover from enemy fire. The addition of player controllable vehicles gives the gamers a form of mobility and additional firepower in some cases. Finally, levelution shows how the battlefield can change gradually and sometimes drastically in the middle of a firefight. When you change the total environment from a war-esque theater of operation to a cops and robbers type of environment, it changes the entire game into something not so realistic and more into a Call of Duty type twitch style of gameplay. Don't get me wrong I like Call of Duty too, but Battlefield has always been my favorite. I just prefer the faux realism and strategy involved in the Battlefield series over the Call of Duty games. Hardline is more like a Call of Duty game in my opinion. It is good it is just not great.

I found this battlefield really enjoyable. It's more for the gamers who enjoy both battlefield and COD. I say this because this one is a little more fast paced both due to gunplay, map size, and game modes. I would recommend this game for anyone who enjoys first person shooters. Campaign is different than the usual battlefield campaign but was still somewhat enjoyable.
