always great to have more backstory for battlestar galactica

Something of a prequel to the main BG series, so if you're a fan of the series then you'll definitely want to climb aboard this earlier chapter as well. Not sure if this was testing the waters for more BG adventures in this earlier setting but it's a good stand-alone generally up to par with the main BG series.

Wish this had gone to series, I enjoyed seeing Bill Adama's arrival on the Battlestar Galactica as a new pilot, fresh out of training. It was cool to see the Galactica in her prime. Even more impressive when you know that there were no traditional sets built, it was filmed against a green screen and CGI backgrounds were added later!

I love the new BSG and this DVD was great back story for Adama. I enjoyed watching it and felt like I got my money's worth. There was a ton of blue screen going on and you could tell when the sets were virtual, but, hey, it is what it is. This is a good addition to any BSG fan's DVD collection.

I'm a big fan of the Battlestar Galactica storyline and it was a big surprise to see this movie on the store shelf. It has first-rate special effects that surpasses the television series and the acting was just as good. The plot was captivating and mysterious, and the ending was totally unexpected. I'm so glad I found this movie and I hope they produce more to fill-out the storyline between the first and second wars with the Cylons.

We finally get to learn all about "Husker" Great movie, just wish it had been the start of another series. Must watch extras include all the green screen work they did on the production. You won't believe what was real and what was done on the computer.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the 2004 Battlestar Galactica series. Additionally, as it takes place before the tv series itself, it could be a good entry to the series for those with an interest in sci fi / dramas that have not watched the series before.

A low budget, underwhelming mini feature that doesn't live up to its title. This was made after BSG had concluded its run on Syfy in an attempt to milk more money out of fans that was released in a series of 10 minute, straight to YouTube videos. Despite that, this feature is seamlessly put together, however it just wasn't that great. Not much Blood. Not much Chrome. Too much over acting. Too much from the Moore camp. I'm glad I didn't spend the $30 when it first came out. Worth $10, not $30. It even has a digital copy so you can be underwhelmed on the go, where ever you may be.

I love scientific movies ad this one is really worth having! Jonas Pate did a really great job as the director of this movie!

I really enjoyed the movie, although sequel, the effects were amazing and the acting good, characters were okay throughout the movie. Good movie overall.

This movie is great for BSG fans who want background information of Commander Adama from pilot to commander. The movie also has evolution of the Cylons.

This prequel is great addition to the Battlestar reboot, you get to meet "the old man" Bill Adama when he was just a kid on his first mission/assignment.

I'm a BSG fan so I always like it but I am always looking for something that's a little more than what they give. It could have been better.

a great stand alone movie . if your a first time watcher it even better cause you can go back and watch the series.

Although it's not the Galactica series, it's still an entertaining start to something that could have been very good.

i liked the movie altho slow in areas, gives insight into the beginning of the gallactica series and how things came about.

This is a must have for big Battlestar fans. This movie takes place before Battlestar Galactica, and after Caprica

If you Battlestar Galactica fan both old and new you'll like it but I wished it ended better
