You can't go wrong with Bayonetta's story. This movie was a pleasant experience for sure. If you still want more Bayonetta after playing the first two games, then this is a great way for you to experience more. The visuals are great and the animation is super cool. This movie is based off the first game heavily and you will recognize some lines taken directly from the game. However, I have to say that there isn't much depth to the story, in my opinion. It's pretty much all surface level except for some bits and pieces throughout the movie. The plot doesn't split up or come back around for one magnificent climax. I feel like more could've been done with the story if it was given much more time to be written. Maybe I feel this way about the story because I've already played the game but that's for you to decide. Another thing that stuck out to me where the fight scenes, I would've like to have seen more creative, thoughtful, and epic boss fight scenes between Bayonetta and giant Angels. I also would've like to have seen a variety of torture kills and more enemies. It was still cool seeing Bayonetta in action though. Overall, it's a great experience, definitely worth a watch. Personally, it gave Bayonetta more of a personality in my mind, after watching this film. The movie itself is brand new, it came sealed and the discs are spotless. No digital code. one dvd and one blu ray.

Real fun movie if you are a fan of the video game series

The plot isn't much, especially of you have played both games, but the animation is stunning.

I was pretty late to the Bayonnetta craze to say the least as I got the game only last year and it's a blast for anyone who's still wondering. When I heard about this movie I thought I should check it out and I must say it's an absolute thrill! It's everything you'd hope an adaptation would be and more. Over the top, raunchy, action, packed, and beautifully stylized, this film captures that amazing magic once more! If you loved the first game's plot, you'll definitely love this movie! Of course there are a few diffierences between the two storylines but then again there are differences between books and their movie versions, and the differences are artistic in nature and, truth be told, add to the greatness of the whole. The quality is a stellar 1080p HD performance with a crisp image from start to end. The audio is superb with a choice between the original English actors from the game or the Japanese Audio; both of course in astounding Dolby 5.1. All in all, this is a great purchase if you're a fan of the franchise!

It's based on the first videogame which was released on the PS3/XB360. It's a great adaption to the game, the humor is there, the wackiness is there, and the action is most def. there too. It's a beautiful well done anime, it's just great. I think even Anime fans themselves will enjoy this. I say go for it, I do not regret it, a great watch especially if you're a Bayonetta fan.

If you haven't played the PS3 this will make you want to search for a copy and play it. If you have played the game then you'll love this movie. I picked this movie up a few weeks after starting the game because I wanted to know more about the gun toting Angel, Bayonetta and I was totally impressed with this movie. Please make a sequel!!!

I played the first 1st and 2nd Bayonetta games on the Wii U and it's really cool and it's filled with a lot of action packed fun. When I heard about the a animated film I just had to get it. The film gets more into the Bayonetta characters, there's a few changes different from the 1st video game but I love it..

Overall, I am happy with the movie even though it was a little bit different than what I thought. I do not want to give away the story line but I will recommend this movie only to hardcore anime fans. I am such a fan, but some of the people who I leaned this movie to did not like it as much as I did.

This movie is basically a quick summary of the first game. It doesn't quite have every scene from the game, nor does it have as much of the same over the top action from the first game. It is however a good anime movie to see.

I'm loving this prequal to the actual games. Gives more insight to the back story of Bayonetta and in my opinion helps you understand she has a heart while ripping the hearts out of Angels & Demons alike.

This was purchased for my teenage daughter who enjoys Japanese Anime & is also studying the language in high school. I usually watch the moves with her & enjoy the discussions about the anime movies. It is rated M for mature audiences & not for younger children.. It is recommended for those who enjoy this genre of movies.

This is a basic retelling of the first Bayonetta game in anime format. If you'd like to see the story again with more time to ogle the over-the-top visuals, it's a good time.

If you like the game then this bluray is a great representation of the source material. Bayonetta: bloody fate is packed with the same non-stop action, music, and innuendo that the video game exploits. The voice acting is top-notch in this high definition adrenalin fueled bluray. A must have for Bayonetta fans

Everyone has heard and seen a video game into a film is never the best thing but this film was a bit better then expected since it's animated instead of a live action.
