This was my 2nd stubble trimmer. The first one I bought was basic and entry level. I bought this unit because of the multiple sizes in manual adjustment of trim and because of the vacuum. The manual adjustment works well and so does the vacuum though I still find some residue falling off my face onto my chest or sink. Overall, I recommend this trimmer for the beginner or intermediate use guy. However, I don't think this is your choice if you want finer control of trim at edges or perfection in the vacuum.

I'm a big fan of the Philips Norelco line of beard trimmers and have used them for many years - over twenty in fact. The Philips Norelco Contigo trimmer is the latest incarnation of the vacuum enabled trimmer system that is sturdy, reliable, and with reasonable care will last for many years. It's fairly quiet, does not cut or abrase, and the vacuum feature actually works relatively well! Battery life is excellent, but then all my electric personal care product batteries last a long time simply because I always run the battery down completely before recharging in order to maximize battery life (my 16 year old electric toothbrush is proof that this is effective). Best improvement in this model is that the cutting blades are exposed enough to comfortably and accurately trim mustaches. Highly recommended.

Use to trim beard to 3mm, works very well. I like the vacuum that sucks up the cuttings. Easy to use and have not had any problems over the last 3 months so far.

I had an older version of this trimmer that lasted several years, so when it died I when straight to this model. The vacuum does catch most of the hair. I also liked that this newer model has a battery meter so you know when it running low. The best feature is that it can run off of the battery or the power cord. The new guard is not very comfortable, but the guard from the previous version fits the new trimmer.

This is the best vacuum trimmer I have used. It captures most stubble and the charge time is really good. Only have to charge about once a month. Clean out takes a little brush to get completely cleaned. The digital stubble length LCD is easy to read. It comes with two trimmer brushes.

Trimmer works really well. Holds a charge for a long time. For a regular trim vacuum feature works great.

The Philips Norelco Beardtrimmer 7300 was purchased to replace a previously owned Philips Norelco Beardtrimmer. I've been using beard trimmers manufactured by Philips Norelco for many years and like the others I've owned in the past this one is just as awesome.

It took me a few uses to get comfortable with the trimmer, but once I figured my settings all went well. It takes fewer passes to get my beard trimmed and the best part is no more beard trimmings all over the sink. The only negative is when I take the guard off to trim near my lips and ears. The blade is recessed too far back so I have to use one of those pen sized $10 trimmer.

Long story short, I think it's way too loud. This was an impulse buy anyway, so it serves me right, but I did at least think to check the reviews on Amazon. I'm disappointed in myself for forgetting to check if there is a nose-hair attachment (there's not). But quite seriously, I will likely stop using it and eat the investment I made because the thing is so loud that I want it nowhere near my ears.

This is my first ever shaver and by far I am very impressed for what the price is! The vacuum is amazing. I have no mess on the sink, all I do is dump out the hair with no need of grabbing extra toilet paper just to clean off the counter. The blade could be more precise and sharper but regardless, I am still happy with my purchase.

I had searched far and wide for the perfect beard trimmer. This unit does exactly what it needs to do, but there are two problems I've experienced with the unit. Prior to this specific unit, I had an Andis and ConAir beard trimmers. Both were able to function as an all around body trimmer, but this Norelco doesn't seem to get the job done. For beards and stubbles, it's the perfect unit, but be sure that you don't plan on using it as an all around trimmer. It is also a bit loud than my previous units, especially on turbo-mode.
