Waste of money. Might be okay if not used with keyboard.

The Belkin Snap Shield for the new iPad fits well, is solid and basically protects the back of the iPad. I like that it's clear so you can see the Apple logo thru it. I think it's a bit expensive for what amounts to molded plastic but I have no regrets about buying it. Works well with the Apple cover. I am curious to see if it will work with the new Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover when it is released.

This is perfect for the new iPad matched with the Apple magnetic cover for the front. You get to see the iPad as it was designed. It has a nice non-slip feel and protects most of the back. All the holes are in the right place, and generally fits well. The corners are just a little loose, but it doesn't matter.

The clear color looks great and allows the actual iPad to be visible. It fits securely. The matte plastic has a suede- like feel and is not slick or glossy.

I wanted a simple back cover that would protect the back of the new iPad while allowing me to use an Apple smart cover. It works great for that purpose. The price is a bit high for this back cover, but I have not found too many cases that don't cover the back of the iPad while not adding too much bulk and use of the smart cover. At the time of this post, the accessory offerings for the new iPad are few.

This case is pretty good if you mostly want it to protect from scratches and other incidental damage. I think a good fall would render this cover useless and damage the iPad. However, I find it makes the iPad easier to hold and less slippery. I think it pairs well with the smart cover. I am more comfortable with just setting my iPad down with out worrying if there are crumbs or peanut butter on the counter that I didn't notice. Hey, I have small kids, what can I say.

Works as advertised. Comes in lots of colors, but clear lets you see the back of the iPad while still protecting it from scratches. Better than Zagg coating because you can take it off easily to put the iPad into a dock or Bluetooth keyboard.

I have the iPad 3rd generation and already had the Apple front cover. I needed protection for the back. I was happy to find this. It fits perfectly and works with Apple front covers. I do feel the price should have been lower.

It does what it's supposed to do -- protects the back of the iPad without bulking it up or detracting from the appearance. It goes on and comes off easily, yet stays on when you want it to. It also feels good in your hands and cleans easily. Paired with the smart cover, it completes the package: an attractive, protective case that is unassuming and lets the beauty of the iPad show through. It takes a beating and may eventually show wear but I wouldn't mind replacing it because it keeps the back of my new iPad looking new. Best of all -- it looks and feels like it is part of the iPad itself!

Within about a week the corners of the case began to crack. I am a snob when it comes to my gadgets, so I take great care of my things. I never dropped it or abused it. I never even took it out of the case one time before it started cracking. The material appears very brittle once the damage starts. The corners appeared to crack just from the fit of the case (I.e. stress cracks). At the price they are charging for these things, Belkin should be embarrassed they put this garbage on the market. I would rate it zero stars if i could. Save your money or buy something else, because this case is terrible.

Provides protection for the back and sides of iPad gen 3. The corner nearest the power button is slightly flimsy and disengages with the slightest pressure of the palm but otherwise a solid design.

Bought the case to work with my Smart Cover. Wanted clear so I could see the back of the iPad. After a matter of days the case looked dirty. Tried various methods of cleaning but no improvement. Most disappointing was the cost. The clear case cost double what the colored cases cost though they use the same plastic. Makes no sense. It provides the needed protection and is unobtrusive - I just expected it to look better.

At first, I loved this case! It fit well on my iPad, and I felt like it gave it good protection. Keep in mind, I am very gentle on electronics and careful with my iPad. For the first 2 weeks, the case worked great. After that, it began to crack all along the sides and corners, and eventually pieces began to break off of it! I thought maybe it was just a faulty one or something, so I purchased another shortly after, but unfortunately the second one did the same thing. I am disappointed because the case works well with my SmartCover, so now I will be searching for a new alternative.

It is overpriced but it does afford protection for the back of the IPAD. There are alternatives of course but I am not disappointed that I purchased it. It should sell at half the price it costs though.

I bought this as the back cover to protect the unit from scratches and minor trauma. It stays on beautifully (has never fallen off) even after a drop on the carpet. (The IPAD still works!). I did not want a bulky cover or storage container as the IPAD quality is in its sleek shape and size. Very Happy with it after 2 months.

I bought this initially because I hate front covers and I was also sizing down from a serious monster cover that bulked up the ipad, but protected the front with a built in shield screen. It did its job protecting the back of the iPad well, but got me worried about any drops for the front side. I would just recommend finding a combination front & back cover for anyone looking. Seriously recommend looking into ZeroChroma front+back cover combo, with a built in rotating kickstand.

Overpaying for an iPad somehow persuades you to spend even more money to protect it. Why? I don't know. Save your money. Buy Apple Care and forget about it. Facebook, your email, and Instagram won't notice or care if your iPad has a few dings in it. I have a drawer full of poorly designed iPhone cases. Want one - or two?

Does a nice job of protecting the back of the IPAD, but it is not cheap

I like what it does. Very simple. Unobtrusive back for your iPad. It is harder to remove at times, especially if you need to take it off frequently to use another device. It might hold up better if you don't need to remove it as much. It cracked with less than a month of use and now it won't stay on. But I guess I might not be a typical user of this product.

The clear one matches well with my white iPad and grey smart cover. It doesn't interfere with the cover either, another plus for it. Though the purpose of the clips are not to get in the way, i feel they're a little too flimsy. So far it protects well for what I wanted…scratches, dust, etc. It's not meant to protect from drops so be advised in that regard.
