Belkin usually has great products but I'm not impressed with this one & will be returning it to B.B today as it's not compatible with Apple's docking station (despite the B.B associate assuring me that it would). While it snaps on very easily, it seems like it wouldn't be durable enough to withstand frequent removals (for charging). I normally read reviews before I buy something but this was an "impulse buy"....lesson learned.

We bought this with our brand new iPad about 11 days ago. We are very careful with our electronics. We decided we needed something to protect our new investment just in case. This was not the product for us. I'm super upset that we spent $30 on this item because three of the four corners are cracked. I'm not even sure it is going to stay on much longer. If I had the packaging I would take it back and get my money back.

I liked it for 4 weeks then it broke easily. The corners snapped. Best Buy should not sell this product. Belkin makes excellent wiring industrial products. I haven't been satisfied with the Belkin consumer products from Best Buy that I've purchased. This should be the last one.

If you are going to spend money buying and iPad, it is wise to protect it. I bought the back cover as well as one for the screen.

I'm on my second one of these items. The problem is they break, often, but I guess I'd rather it break than the iPad.

The packaging and appearance of the Snap Shield is very good. Unfortunately the product's performance is poor. The installation of the Snap Shield is a bit of a struggle. There is no reassuring 'snap' as each of the four corners of the shield is massaged into place around the back of the iPad. Consequently, there is no feeling of confidence that that shield is actually installed. Installation issues aside, the Snap Shield's performance is poor. With time, the plastic corners of the snap shield begin to fracture. The end result is that the Snap Shield will no longer stay attached. As 2 iPads were purchased (along with the Snap Shield) and both snap shields exhibited this failure mode, it would appear that the product design is flawed. Further, since both Snap Shields exhibited this failure at 5 weeks, it would appear that a refund is warranted.

Love this protective cover. You can still see the logo through it, it's very protective and easy to put on.

Great product for it's intended purpose. Provides solid protection.

Does what it is suppose to do. I like the rubber backing which provides a non-slip surface. In my opinion it should sell for 19.99

The product says that it fits the iPad 3rd Generation but it doesn't grab at all the corners at once.. at least one corner will pop off. don't buy this unless you just want a reason to turn around and head back to best buy to return it.

The concept of the product works, but my complaint is that the design of it prevents it from always staying on. The other grip that i have is that the corners are so fragile that they stap off and chip.

Shield covers the back of iPad, but does not protect it. Broke within a few weeks of purchase (never even dropped it either!). Don't waste your money on this cheap piece of plastic!

I'm less than trilled with this one. It does cover the back but it is fragile. I dropped it on a carpeted floor and it cracked.

I ordered it from bestbuy in April and I've used it for 7 weeks. It worked for me, no crashed as previous comments. Did you hit it on the walls?

Don't want my iPad weighing nearly as much as a laptop. This and the Zagg front cover with Apple magnetic cover are a perfect combination!!

The way this product is made there is not enough reinforcement on the corners to keep them from cracking. This is my second in 6 months time. The other I had did the same thing. The protection on the corners also rather lacking. You would expect a $25 piece of plastic to with stand more. Currently three of the four corners have small cracks. The result now being I have to keep snapping it back into place.

Bought one for me and one for my wife. Within 3 weeks both were broken on the corners. I guess it would be okay if you NEVER planned on removing your iPad from the shell. Once you do it a couple of times the corners will break and the shell won't hold.

I have the clear item which enhances the appearance. Also put a business card between it and the back of the ipad for ease of identity.
