Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the Wireless-N USB Network Adapter's ease of use, affordable price, and reliable performance in home or office settings. Many also highlight the strong signal, good range, and convenient USB connectivity. While some find the adapter slightly bulky, the positive feedback on performance and ease of installation outweighs this minor drawback.

got it for my nieces homeschool computer that didnt come with wireless, really only used for school so its not being over taxed, and the connection has yet to be erratic.

Great product does what it's intended to do. Maybe a bit pricey.

Easy to Use, but Terrible Performance

I was in a jam and needed to buy a wireless N adapter to get online as soon as possible. This Belkin unit was a mistake. Being a room over from the router and cable modem should not result in signal strength poor to fair as my older, cheaper wireless G adapter picked up the wireless signal just fine. Watching my connection between the router fluctuate from 1MBps to 100MBps is just appalling. The fact that I can only reach a download speed of 1MBps is also horrific when I have a 50Mbps cable line coming into the house. You might as well sit next to your router, better yet if you have to do that buy an ethernet cable and avoid this piece of plastic at all costs.

Installed easy but said I could get it to run faster if I used a different port. This type of port was not available on my XP SP3 so I bought a card to install with two USB ports. Installed that but it froze my computer. Bought a new computer and returned the attachment.

I bought this wireless for my sons computer in the back room of our house, not too far away. The speed of connectivity is there but very low and very slow. This is supposed to be a wider ranged one. Not the lowest ranged.

I purchased the device based a the salesperson's recommendation and asked about its range, distance from the router for average connection speeds. Well, the device works great if your router is within a 3' radius. If you router is further away than this it looks its signal strength exponentially to the point at 10' is has little or no signal pickup from the router. I would NOT recommend this device if your router is more than 3' away!

    Painfully slow

I was using this to replace a highly rated medialink USB adapter that would disconnect itself a few times per day from my wireless network. After much work with that unit I thought I would try a more "name brand" in my new Core I7 gaming computer (MSI motherboard, 16GB RAM). The software installation went fairly well, as expected, but once I plugged in the adapter it was not found. After rebooting several times and uninstalling/reinstalling the software, the adapter was recognized by the computer. However, even though I had a 96% signal and 5 bars to my wireless network, the connection was SO slow that it took 15 seconds for even the google search page to load. Forget actually using the internet or games. After many attempts to diagnose and improve the connection, including updating drivers, I gave up. My search continues.

This device works as advertised to make my system wireless, but when enabled it will disable all other USB devices connected to my computer, which is a real pain. Belkin support of no help to resolve (nor apparently interested in doing so).

I needed this for my Toshiba Satellite P105-S9722 that didnt have wireless N capability. Doesn't even do what it claims on the box. I was lucky enough to pull up a webpage but even doing that took quite a bit of time. Speed was an average 20 Mbps.. Would get network reset or timed out messages constantly from my FF browser. Can't believe Best Buy would even bother to sale this model. Better to upgrade to a newer laptop then to spend the money on a wireless adapter!
