They use a cheap plastic pin to recognize the tray to turn on. Pin breaks easily and oven part won't work. Looking online, this is a common problem to where you get about one year out of this.

The price was excellent, but following the directions for making vegetables in the booklet that came with it none have turned out very well. This is discouraging me from using it.
