This extention cord is the perfect size for when you need a little extra reach, but don't need a full on 25 foot cord. Heavy duty enough for using outside or in a detached garage, as well as indoors. It ran my 1500 watt electric heater without the cord getting hot or melting. Be sure to check your heater owners manual and specifications as your heater may not be recommended to be plugged into an extension cord. This was also the perfect length cable to run to my window air conditioning unit. While I Only used it a couple of minutes due to it still being winter, the function test went smoothly. Like all cables, it does get a bit stiff when cold. However, this one was near rigid when used outside in the recent snowy weather we had in the Midwest. While not a deal breaker for me, potential buyers should be aware that it may not flex around corners very well when it's below freezing outside. Using a continuity tester I verified the ground plug was working as it should, no beaks in continuity. Would recommend for any tools or appliances you have that need a heavier than normal short length extension cord.

The Best Buy Essentials 6' Indoor Outdoor extension cord comes in at an excellent value, and has been great for several outdoor projects. I have used this cord to run my heat gun with no issues, and also have it setup with the charger for my leaf blower and it has made it easy to relocate that a little further from the outlet. The cord is very durable and I think it will last many years, and the price on it is amazing as well. Much more affordable than other options, while still doing the same job and doing it very well! I have noticed no problems leaving this plugged in for many days in a row, and it has even been out in the elements and looks no different. Even under a heavy load this cord hasn't gotten hot to the touch which is something I also look out for when using extension cords of any kind. I will definitely be investing in more of the Best Buy Essentials power cords, and using them for all of my indoor and outdoor power products in the future. They are an incredible value and are built to last.

It is an excellent power cord for indoor and outdoor electronics for a better reach. The build quality of the power cord is great. It provides stable power connection for the devices. I have installed this power card for my outdoor patio and it works great. It is a great power card with reasonable price. It is not a power card with surge protection and does the job very well for most of the devices. It is plug and play power card and i am planning to buy few more power cords for other devices in the patio. This extension cord holds up to 15 A of power and is grounded, providing safe and secure power. The black design fits really well and works with appliances, electronics, power tools and other indoor devices. It is made from 16 AWG wire gauge, this 3-prong construction fits into standard US wall outlets. This Best Buy essentials 6’ 16 AWG Indoor/Outdoor Extension Power Cord is a 3 prong (grounded) 6 foot extension cord with one outlet. This cord can handle up to 1625 watts and 13 amps, as stated on the cord itself. Documentation here shows 15 amp limitation for some reason. It is basically for small indoor appliances like lamps, clocks, outdoor appliances like power tools: saws, air compressors, etc. or maybe running Christmas lights. Personally, I am using this to extend my laptop cord the few feet it needs to reach the outlet and it works perfectly for that. I do prefer to have this dedicated cord for something that is so valuable to me. This is considered to be a light-duty cord that can be used both indoors and out. It carries a 1 year limited warranty and is tested and UL Certified (by UL Solutions, previously Underwriter's Laboratory) to meet certain safety standards. It is a nice, heavy duty 16 AWG, grounded extension cord and will work with appliances, electronics, power tools or pretty much any other type of electronic equipment you can think of. The 6 foot length makes it significantly easier to plug in appliances and equipment that may not be close to a power outlet. This extension power cord comes with a one year Limited Warranty against defects in material and workmanship. The cord is flexible, but nice and thick, so it won't be subject to breaking or cracking if bent while in use. I have an old refrigerator that I have moved to my garage. However, in order to sit it close enough to the power outlet, it made it more difficult to park my car in the garage. With this new 6' Extension Power Cord, I was able to move the refrigerator to a corner, further away from the power outlet, giving me more room to park. If you need a longer cord to plug in anything, this cord will work well.

I needed an extension cord for my outdoor air compressor and since it pulls quite a bit of power and the next power outlet is too far, I went with Best Buy's brand. This extension cord is rated at 16 gauge and is six feet long. Just the length I needed to reach an outlet. It can support quite a bit of load without starting to melt or even get too hot. Now, note that it's winter here which made it harder to see how it will perform in the beating sun of Texas, where we are regularly confronted with "sun rot" which can damage everything plastic in record time. I do believe that this won't be such a big deal, especially since it runs under a car port. I also used it with a pressure washer and it worked fine. As far as I'm concerned, I would rather pay a couple of bucks more for a higher quality product that will be used extensively, rather than to cheap out and end up with an extension cord that needs replacing every couple of months. This is a very affordable, quality product which will last you longer than cheap ones. Recommended!

Ok, honestly. Can you have enough extension cords? I suppose it’s up to the beholder. I’ll double down with the question. Can you have enough “good” and “efficient” extension cords? Let me tell you. This is one of those that’s a must. It feels like it’s made of great quality and that it’ll last a long time. So I’d say it’s built well and durable. It’s a 6’ and perfect for what I need. At this price, you really can’t go wrong. Best of all, it’s from a reputable brand. I love that I can use this inside or out. It’s not a long cord to mow the lawn, but it’s perfect for connecting my outdoor boom box. Yes, I said boom box. It plugs into any of my wall outlets and gives me an extra 6 feet for some of my devices. I needed an extra extension cord to help with Christmas light during the holiday season. I don't like to use a 50 foot or 100 foot cord when I only have a short run from the lights to the electrical outlet. This Best Buy Essentials extension cord was exactly what I needed. I'm seeing more Best Buy Essential items on their website. These seem to offer a lower cost alternative for a wide variety of product needs. With inflation driving the prices of everyday items up, this line of Best Buy Essential products helps out a lot when you are on a budget. Best Buy has extension cords with lengths of 6 feet, 12 feet and 25 feet. This cord is good for indoor or outdoor use. Unlike many other indoor/outdoor extension cords, I was able to plug in a cord to the female side of the extension cord very easily. Other extension cords I've owned make it very difficult to plug something in or take it out so the easy in/easy out is definitely a plus with this cord. In short, this extension cord is good quality and a solid value for the money.

Best Buy Essentials are proving to be excellent alternatives to the more expensive “name brand” items in the market. While there isn’t much to say about something as simple as an extension cord, it is worth noting the positives. First, this is a well made cord. Often with less expensive extension cords the exterior sheathing is thin and cheaply put together. Not so here. It has the feel of a bit more expensive cord. Plugs are snug and held firmly in place. I found there to be no wiggle or movement, and certainly no accidental disconnection. During use I found no signs of excess or over heating. The cord remained cool to the touch. Even with long hours of external lighting activated or using items with higher power requirements I found no heat issues. This cord had held up and performed quite well. From the production quality, durability, and reliability all are equally great. I’ve had no issues or concerns with this item whatsoever. I have no issues recommending this to any of my friends or family.
