Plenty of knock-outs in the mount that allow for easy positioning hitting the studs. Design allows you to slide TV left or right several inches that gives you a little freedom if studs aren't exactly where you'd want them.

This bracket worked perfectly and was relatively easy to install. If your going to do it yourself, make sure you habe the right tools, but this bracket is great!

Have a 65” tv that we had on a swing arm mount, it just didn’t feel safe even though it claimed to be good for my tv size. Immediately replace it with this one and can’t be happier with how safe and study it is.

For a large tv the arms arent long enough to reach more than two sets of studs and there isnt much room to move the mount over as a result. Used with a 65 and it barely worked. Also no room at all to get hands behind tv so once it’s up, you’re committed.

That would be about 3/8 of an inch. I don't know where they are getting that, other than maybe they're just measuring the wall mount itself and not the rails. I'm not saying it's not a good mount, I do like it and it's still what I'd call very low profile compared to a lot of them, just be advised it's 7/8" so basically almost 1" with the wall bracket + the 2 rails that attach to the TV. The pull string system seems to work pretty good.
