Try before you buy

It does work with my Dell laptop. Not sure if it isn’t compatible with the Apple products or if there is an issue with the HDMI port on the Mac. I can’t say whether the problem is in the cable or my new Mac.

This connects the computer to a larger screen because she is on the computer all day.

I used this adapter to connect a modern computer to an old touch screen monitor and it got the job done. It’s a lot more reliable than those all-in-one HDMI to VGA cables you can order on Amazon.
