    I purchased a total membership along with a new laptop for my college student, and it has been a great decision. The membership allowed me to get my college student laptop repaired and causing me to be stress-free, and the added protection gives me peace of mind knowing her laptop is covered during school. The support and services included are very helpful, especially for students who rely on their laptop every day for classes and assignments. Overall, the membership feels worth the cost and adds real value to the purchase.

    This membership offers great 24/7 Geek Squad support. Was able to ask questions from the Geek Squad about anything I did not understand. Under this plan, I was able to have a diagnostic done on computer like a checkup. Geek squad tune the laptop up making performance run faster and smoother. Best part? There was a zero charge when they were all done! Not only that? They will check ANY of your products whether purchased at Best Buy or not to let u know what's going on! Is totally worth purchasing every year especially for emergencies and peace of mind!

    I used the membership for online support to fix a problem with my new laptop. The keyboard quit working after a few weeks. They could not find a fix and said it was a hardware problem. I had the computer serviced by the manufacturer who replaced the keyboard. That didn’t correct the problem. I then took it into best buy geek squad and explained the problem. The geek squad person knew exactly what was wrong. It was a software update that had caused the problem and they fixed it in a few minutes. I wish the online support was aware of the update that caused problems. Bottom line is they fixed my problem!

    Can't beat this Atmos sound from TV unit. I have it hooked to a Bose system but the TV sound is Very nice. The picture is awesome. DolbyVison? Yes it is worth it! All I heard was about the glare. I had a same sized Samsung (non Matte) and really cant tell the difference in glare. My room is not bright but not dark. I'm extremely impressed. This TV has surpassed my expectations and I'm still finding features. Oh and the remote pointer is pretty cool also.

    I feel really good about getting the Total membership. They kept my new computer and I brought them my old one and they transferred my files, fixed a glitch on my old one, which I'll use as a backup now if needed. They were very helpful making sure everything I bought worked together and answered a lot of questions. I'll be bringing them a few of my other electronics to help me optimize performance. It all flows smoothly and I feel a sense of genuine trust in their knowledge.

    I was hesitant on buying this membership, but looking back throughout the year… I have bought a lot of tech stuff that could definitely benefit from Best Buy membership. My dad is a huge tech nerd, and has mentioned some of the killer stuff he has bought at an extremely low price through member deals which ultimately ends up paying for itself. Looking forward to saving money, and security through the enhanced warranty they offer.

    The Best Yearly Membership you will ever need

    This membership is worth every penny; I was trying to download Microsoft Office on my own without any experience in doing so. My time and stress were not factored in. The yearly membership covers any software updates required for a year, but also any trouble shooting that is required. The technician also gave me advice on a universal remote for my TV and a thumb drive to save photos that fit with my MacBook Pro. One stop shopping and no stress. Highly recommend it.

    My Best Buy Total™ Membership Review I’ve been using the My Best Buy Total membership for a while now, and I think it’s a solid option if you shop at Best Buy often or buy a lot of electronics. What I like: The extended return window is really helpful. You get 60 days to return most items, which gives you time to really test things out. The 24/7 tech support is convenient. I’ve used it a couple of times for setup questions and minor issues, and the help was quick and easy. You get two years of protection on most purchases, which includes accidental damage. That’s saved me money already on a broken pair of headphones. Free shipping is fast and reliable, which is nice if you don’t live near a store. What could be better: It’s not cheap. At around $180 a year, you really need to use the benefits to make it worth it. The exclusive deals are okay, but not amazing. Sometimes you’ll find better discounts elsewhere. If you don’t buy electronics regularly, the membership probably isn’t worth it. Overall: If you’re someone who buys tech often and wants extra protection and support, this membership makes sense. But if you’re only shopping once or twice a year, you might be better off sticking with the free My Best Buy tier.

    We bought an Alienware laptop in August 2025 from Best Buy with $500 Geek Squad 4 years of service, in late November 2025 it had a critical video card failure. We took it to geek squad desk and they made me buy this so they could reinstall the OS after we told them it was hardware failure. But since it was still under warranty we didn’t want to crack open the laptop and fix it ourselves (well…my husband who’s an IT guru for a large bank and could fix it would have been the one to do it). Of course the OS reinstall didn’t fix it and the guy from Geek Squad called and left a vmail and said they’d reimburse this $194 because it ended up being hardware failure and they had to send it out to be repaired. But we were required to come back to the store prior. When we got there they wouldn’t reimburse it, and they had to send it out and said it’d be two weeks and we’re into week 3 and the laptop is still waiting for parts and our daughter is trying to run heavy duty CAD programs off of a el crappo old laptop from high school while we wait. And once it’s fixed they won’t send it to the Best Buy near her university, but they will send it to our home one…which means one of us will have to drive it out to her hundreds of miles away. Silver lining…get to see our college student. So…was this a good purchase. Not for us.

    The Total Tech yearly membership has been one of the best purchases I’ve made at Best Buy. Having two years of protection automatically included on everything I buy is a huge benefit—individual protection plans can get expensive fast, and this takes all of that off the table. If something goes wrong, they take care of it without hassle, which gives me real confidence when buying new tech. The price guarantee is another major perk; if an item drops in price within a month, they refund the difference. Add in the exclusive member-only discounts, and the membership easily pays for itself. Truly worth every penny.

    The sales representative, Big Kev was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He recommended me upgrading to a better Samsung TV that was on sale, along with other products that complemented the unit. Johnnie and Aleea did an excellent job installing the TV. Johnnie recommended other products to enhance the installation. He went over every detail. His expertise is first rate and should be commended. It was perfect and we are very pleased. So if you are in the market for a TV or any other products, I would highly recommend you purchase them at Best Buy.

    Great value for what you get. I love the peace of mind of knowing that I’m covered if I buy from Best Buy. For a small yearly fee I get covered on items that I would be buying regardless at the same price whether I bought it on Amazon or some other retailer I just feel like my money goes further at Best Buy because of this program. Generally, it’s easier to just hop on the computer. Have it show up at your door sometimes same day through Amazon, but when the price is the same and you have greater coverage, Best Buy is easy to access great at keeping their website accurate for in stock items. they have plenty of locations and plenty of options. I really couldn’t be happier.

    Virgie's Geek Squad experience Warranty plus $$$

    I usually say this is the BEST TOP Value. I had to have Geek Squad out to work on my computer, connect 2 TVs & fix my CD player to where I could play music 24/7 I had to pay $286+++ dollars & the TV's work but my computer still has some issues & the CD player worked until they drove off. I went into the BEST Buy & talked to Geek Squad & the technician said it depends on the manager. i asked for the Geek Squad to return as I had 30 days & even sent in 2 requests No one showed up and no one contacted me and I spent all that $$$ for jobs incomplete. This is the first time my Warranty did not pay off.

    At first I was hesitant about the annual cost but thought better of it after considering the benefits or repair/ replacement, the embarrassment of purchasing a high tech item then stopping short of complete coverage beyond the manufactures warranty This program automatically insures all your tech purchases are covered Personally I’m a impulse shopper and a soft touch around the holidays So yes I know without any hesitation if the gifts or purchases don’t function properly I can return them or replace them without additional worry
