I was hesitant on buying this membership, but looking back throughout the year… I have bought a lot of tech stuff that could definitely benefit from Best Buy membership. My dad is a huge tech nerd, and has mentioned some of the killer stuff he has bought at an extremely low price through member deals which ultimately ends up paying for itself. Looking forward to saving money, and security through the enhanced warranty they offer.

We bought an Alienware laptop in August 2025 from Best Buy with $500 Geek Squad 4 years of service, in late November 2025 it had a critical video card failure. We took it to geek squad desk and they made me buy this so they could reinstall the OS after we told them it was hardware failure. But since it was still under warranty we didn’t want to crack open the laptop and fix it ourselves (well…my husband who’s an IT guru for a large bank and could fix it would have been the one to do it). Of course the OS reinstall didn’t fix it and the guy from Geek Squad called and left a vmail and said they’d reimburse this $194 because it ended up being hardware failure and they had to send it out to be repaired. But we were required to come back to the store prior. When we got there they wouldn’t reimburse it, and they had to send it out and said it’d be two weeks and we’re into week 3 and the laptop is still waiting for parts and our daughter is trying to run heavy duty CAD programs off of a el crappo old laptop from high school while we wait. And once it’s fixed they won’t send it to the Best Buy near her university, but they will send it to our home one…which means one of us will have to drive it out to her hundreds of miles away. Silver lining…get to see our college student. So…was this a good purchase. Not for us.

Gives a person an opportunity to ask questions if they need. Issue I have is the number called, unless you have a direct number to the store, could be from anywhere and sometimes they are very hard to understand. Geek Squad also always wants you to bring in your computer and gear. Don't seem to want to do it over the phone.

The Total Tech yearly membership has been one of the best purchases I’ve made at Best Buy. Having two years of protection automatically included on everything I buy is a huge benefit—individual protection plans can get expensive fast, and this takes all of that off the table. If something goes wrong, they take care of it without hassle, which gives me real confidence when buying new tech. The price guarantee is another major perk; if an item drops in price within a month, they refund the difference. Add in the exclusive member-only discounts, and the membership easily pays for itself. Truly worth every penny.

Great value for what you get. I love the peace of mind of knowing that I’m covered if I buy from Best Buy. For a small yearly fee I get covered on items that I would be buying regardless at the same price whether I bought it on Amazon or some other retailer I just feel like my money goes further at Best Buy because of this program. Generally, it’s easier to just hop on the computer. Have it show up at your door sometimes same day through Amazon, but when the price is the same and you have greater coverage, Best Buy is easy to access great at keeping their website accurate for in stock items. they have plenty of locations and plenty of options. I really couldn’t be happier.

I usually say this is the BEST TOP Value. I had to have Geek Squad out to work on my computer, connect 2 TVs & fix my CD player to where I could play music 24/7 I had to pay $286+++ dollars & the TV's work but my computer still has some issues & the CD player worked until they drove off. I went into the BEST Buy & talked to Geek Squad & the technician said it depends on the manager. i asked for the Geek Squad to return as I had 30 days & even sent in 2 requests No one showed up and no one contacted me and I spent all that $$$ for jobs incomplete. This is the first time my Warranty did not pay off.

The sales representative, Big Kev was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He recommended me upgrading to a better Samsung TV that was on sale, along with other products that complemented the unit.
Johnnie and Aleea did an excellent job installing the TV. Johnnie recommended other products to enhance the installation. He went over every detail. His expertise is first rate and should be commended. It was perfect and we are very pleased.
So if you are in the market for a TV or any other products, I would highly recommend you purchase them at Best Buy.

This team is the best I have ever encountered. I’ve been a Totaltech member for three years and Geek Squad for 5-years before that. I call them primarily to help me out with technical issue with either my laptop or my printer or my phone. They are polite, easy to talk with, and they in turn are easily understood making sure that you’re completely satisfied before ending the connection.
We enjoyed a bonus this year when we bought a major appliance and found that because we we’re Totaltech members we enjoyed an additional discount as well as free delivery and set up & an additional year on the warranty.

At first I was hesitant about the annual cost but thought better of it after considering the benefits or repair/ replacement, the embarrassment of purchasing a high tech item then stopping short of complete coverage beyond the manufactures warranty
This program automatically insures all your tech purchases are covered
Personally I’m a impulse shopper and a soft touch around the holidays
So yes I know without any hesitation if the gifts or purchases don’t function properly I can return them or replace them without additional worry

I was very satisfied with my Total Tech membership. I thought is was a good thing to have when problems arise. Now I am not so sure. I was able to bring my laptop in to the GEEK SQUAD and they would help or fix the problem. Now my new laptop has only a 2 year free service and then there is a monthly charge. The Total membership seem to go up and the services that were included now have to be paid for. On the reccomendation of recommending Total memebership there should be a MAYBE to check off.

I got this membership mainly for the Geek Squad Support as we have several computers that always seem to need help. However, I was surprised and pleased with all the other benefits that come with the membership. The techs are pleasant to work with, very knowledgeable and efficient. I am very pleased with it all!

I’ve had this membership for only about 4 or 6 months and I saved about $1000 already. I’m a first time PC builder so anytime I did something wrong or I had a questions Geek squad helped. If you are a first time builder like me, this a great way to tinker with your pc and not have to worry about frying anything.

this membership is really valuable and a great thing to have. It’s helped me so much with my computers and my son computer. He always has to get it checked on because it won’t turn on sometimes and sometimes we get hit by cyber attacks and the computer gets corrupt and they’re there to fix it every time. They’re really nice also and they can let you know what’s going on with the computer and why it did what it did and you can bring it same day most times.

Done right and on time. My son needed to upgrade his computer and operating system for his school work and needed to make sure that everything on his Windows 10 computer was correctly moved over to Windows 11. You can try and do it yourself, but if you want to make sure it is done right, this is the way to go.

I like how all the product I buy at BestBuy are automatically get covered by the Total Protection plan at checkout and its very convenient. My only drawback is its a little pricey for the subscription unless you have a lot of items and cannot extend warranty passed two years...but i trust BestBuy

This membership subscription carries a great deal of trust and peace of mind behind it. I trust the knowledge and professionalism of the Geek Squad (based on years of personal experience). I have peace of mind because I know that no matter what the problem is I am covered. The staff at the Best Buy in Brentwood never fail me. You get your laptop fixed, you learn new skills yourself and you have positive interactions with staff…just for the price if membership!

I have had my Total Tech Membership for years. It has often gotten me out of a jam. When I was told by four "computer experts" that my hard drive was fried and I would not be able to get any of my data off of it, Geek squad not only recovered my data. They also restored my computer to proper operation.
