There's probably a good chance you're looking into this movie because of Mandy. I first saw this when released and was a little underwhelmed because I thought its story too thin and slow, but I wanted to own it and try again because I enjoy Mandy so much. Watching again, I came to find this movie similarly just a great aesthetic sensory ride, and I was less caught up and concerned about a tightly edited narrative. More mellow and slow moving than the screaming acid trip of Panatos's follow-up film. Best to just sit and ride with it because I think it's really worthwhile in the end. Mandy is more fire and earth. Beyond the Black Rainbow is sleek walls, metal and glass. When watchng this, I wanted to follow it up immediately with Mandy. They ended up going so well with each other. It felt like a more complete and exciting experience than I anticipated. Ya man highly recommend

This movie is very intense and please don't blink or you will miss something. The plot was hard to follow but eventually made sense. Didn't even know about the movie till recently and was unable to find it on streaming services. Very good movie though.

Loved Mandy so I wanted to check out the directors previous film. The ending doesn’t live up to the rest of the film.

This film while it was an interesting piece this film isn't for everyone. Proceed with caution.
