When we tried to connect the bird buddy to the internet system it would not pair up to the system. It specically need 2.4 internet connection. First we called AT&T to see if they could help and they couldn't. Next we went to an AT&T office and they couldn't help. We called bird buddy and were put on hold and never got to talk to anyone. Finally we went to Best Buy and were told we would have to buy an attachment for the modem so that the 2.4 would work with the bird buddy. The internet system had both 5.0 and 2.4, but only the 5.0 seems to work. Since we would have to buy more equipment to attach to the present internet system we decided to just return the bird buddy. It is user unfriendly and for the price is not worth purchasing. Also even though we never got to use it it looked like getting bird seed in it was going to be very difficult.

This product is amazing. My grandmother loves seeing the birds on her phone and knowing what the species are without having to get out a book and check, especially before they fly away. Cannot recommend this enough!

Got this for the kids for Christmas and the whole family is loving it. Easy to set up and to use.

I really wanted to like this product. Had read glowing reviews about it it's AI capabilities in identifying birds...BUT, it is not as easy as it should be to set up - no instructions are included in the box. I've had multiple issues and there's no number to call for support...it's now been 6 days since I created a support ticket and still no response. Unfortunately, it's too late to return it or I would.

We just got it setup and everyone is loving it. Looking forward to summer so we can get more photos of birds using it.

Had to make a guest wifi network for device to connect.

My wife loves watching the birds and a huge plus that I don't have to charge it.

We got out Bird Buddy smart bird feeder a little over a week ago and I have felt annoyed at times, yet it has also brought us a lot of joy. So let me break down what I dislike, like and love about this product. Let’s get the negative out of the way. It is a poorly designed bird feeder. I’m 50 years old and my dad bought a pet store when I was 9 and I worked in the pet industry for over 20 years. I have seen all sorts of bird feeders in my time and this is one of the worst I have ever used from a functional stand point. What I mean is it is a pain to add food to this thing. The plastic door you need to open to add food fits poorly. At first we couldn’t get it open, now we can’t get it closed. When you add food you need a specially shaped cup (included) to add it without making a mess. The bird feeder still works fine even though we can’t get the door to close. The second part that I’m not in love with is the price. If I’m paying a premium price, I should get a well designed and built feeder. When you combine that with an app that required a subscription to unlock all its features and it gives me pause to recommend this item to a friend. Now as far as what I like or even love about this feeder, pretty much everything else. The camera and mic produce beautiful pictures and fun little videos with pretty good sound quality. The app works really well. Its ability to identify the various birds by species (and a very friendly squirrel lol) it takes pictures of is cool. The ability to share pictures with and see pictures from other bird buddy owners across the world is awesome. Though it seems you can add a certain number of bird buddy friends for free, a subscription is required to see as many birds as your heart desires. It’s not much, I believe it said 2.99/month, but when combined with the purchase price it just feels like a bit much. The solar panel is tiny but it seems like it’s enough to keep it charged up. I’ve saved a few dozen great pictures and videos so far and it says right now the battery is at 99%. If I had written a review on day 1 I would of given it a 1 star review. The difficult to open door with less than great instructions gave me a rough first impression. However the “smart” part of the smart bird feeder is pretty great. We are having a blast seeing all the different little species in our neighborhood. We have named the squirrel Peanut as it seems she was already very used to people since it only took a couple days and my girl friend can hand feed her peanuts. So I’m giving it 4 stars. As far as the question, would I recommend it to a friend? That would be a soft yes due to the issues I stated. Bought for my husband for Christmas and he was very pleased with it. Only bad thing is, he may not get any work done because he’ll be staring at the birds now

Easy to set up, once you decide where to place it. I bought it for my wife as a Mother’s Day gift, since she has about 15 bird feeders in the garden, At least now she can see how fat the squirrels are getting. The resolution is very good, overall I would rate it very highly.

This thing has brought so much joy to my hubs and me! We bought 2 more to give as gifts for Christmas. One of our favorite purchases ever.
