Season 2! This story gets better and better! The characters get more awesome as well. Keep watching! Get this and continue your pirate adventure!

Much like the History Channel's Vikings series, Starz decided to take on their own original series by creating the world of pirates and the island base that they congregate, sail from and return back to. While the first season basically set up this world and most of the characters that would inhabit it, the story line spent much of it's time watching men and women maneuvering for power and control by creating the needed alliances to make this happen. Season 2 continues to test these ties, but provides a back story for it's lead character that expands the show into so much more than just a pirate's life for me! P.S.: Like so many other Starz series – as always quality is top notch.

Packaging: ordered online and arrived as expected. The show:what started off as show that some derided as a poor mans Game of thrones in which it took a whole season for something to happen. The 2nd season is a huge improvement more battles more piracy. We finally get some backstory on flint and barlow. honestly if you gave up on the first season i would highly recommend just watch the last episode of the first season and then start with this season. This season is such an improvement and the changes made the show much more watchable. bottom line the show seems like it is really going somewhere.. if you liked game of thrones then you will enjoy this season.

Season One set up who the main characters are in this program, and Season Two really amps the intensity, the emotional connection, and shock of what Season One began. I recommend watching the 10 episode season in blocks of two at a time due to how the story-line and intensity of the episodes unfold. I appreciated the character development and how certain concepts were toned down from Season One (less brothel visits). However, the last two episodes were simply incredible, and I have waited for months for the third season to begin in a few weeks. I purchased both Seasons of Black Sails to gear me up for Season Three.

Season 2 of Black Sails is better than season 1! More of what you expect from a show about pirates: action, naval-battles, plenty of violence. More historical characters show up, and a couple minor characters from season 1 have expanded roles and storylines. Season 2 also has two fantastic "OMG!" moments involving Captain Flint, and Silver suffers a tragedy that pushes his character closer to the Long John Silver we all know from Treasure Island.

I had seen the trailers for this series and had been waiting for some time for the Blu-ray to come down on price. When I saw it on sale for $9.99 i knew I had to get it. After watching the first season, I was hooked. Had to get the second season as the show left you with a very good cliffhanger...and yes gold (a pirate's best friend) was involved; a lot of it.

Black Sails continues as the greatest Pirate show on TV. Well, actually, it's now the only Pirate show on TV, but it's still great. Quality acting (particularly in the recreation of the memorable character of Calico Jack Rackham), and tightly interwoven subplots keep it entertaining. The show's third season promises big changes. Come watch the build-up!

It is a good show for when your board or nothing else is going on... It does not interest me enough to binge watch the season in a couple of days but I always get to it in the winter months when you end up trapped in the house...if you live where it's warm sunny and their is beach near by...good for you and I am not sure why you would waist your time watching this when you could actually be at the beach or on the ocean....happy holidays to all...

This is pretty much the prequel story to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale "Treasure Island". Awesome story line, with great character development. The visuals are absolutely breathtaking. Not intended for younger viewers due to language violence and nudity, but simply one of the best shows on television !!

If you enjoyed Season 1, Season 2 will keep you glued in your seat. 2 delves more into character history making for a richer story. The action is also taken to the next level. Be prepared to binge watch the whole season once you get started!

This was one of my favorite shows when it was on a couple of years ago and watching it again , it only gets better. The cast is great the acting is so good you will be sorry you missed watching it when it was on. Pick up the complete series now, Worth binging .

Good drama. Twisty plot. Interesting characters. Brutally graphic violence. Worth a binge watch. I had to see it twice myself. Spoiler alert. The lead pirate captain is a bisexual. Don't know what Robert Louis Stevenson would think but he didn't really define the character so open season I guess. Anyway the rest of the story makes a little man and man spit swapping overlookable. Enjoy

The absolute best television season I've watched. Not a single episode is wasted and the stakes raise constantly. Best acting by far, and the surprises were original. Promises are made and paid off, and the characters evolve. This was the season that made me a Black Sails fanatic.

A terrific series! Season two takes you further into the past of Captain Flint. Learn what changed him into the man he was to the man he is. John SIlver also continues the evolution into the infamoud character in Treasure Island. On a seperate note the blu-rays look stunning.

The settings, the story, the set piecess, and the Bond girls are all top notch. The only real problem with this film is it falls back too heavily on nostalgia (too many Easter eggs from past Bond films). For completionists, it is an essential own. For casual viewers, each according to their tastes. For new Bond film viewers, go buy Casino Royale, of Dr. No.

I have found myself going back too season one trying to make sense of some of the things I noticed. The story line continues and I am enjoying every minute of it. It is well worth the investment to escape to this world. Happy Holidays

This series has captivated me from the beginning. This season was even better than the first as the twists and turns keep coming - don't think you can predict anything. Can't wait for the next season (hoping they don't cancel this series too!).

This is a great pirate drama, but not a pirate adventure. If you want the high seas and lots of ship to ship canon battle, look elsewhere. If you are looking for an adult drama that revolves about the pirate life on land, you enjoy this series

Black sails season 2 picks up where season 1 left off. The continuing strife between the cast keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is a great show that I highly recommend if you like pirates and the big sailing ships

This is such an amazing show I fell in love as soon as I heard about it. The show mixes fictional and historical charcters and is suppose to be a prequel of sorts for treasure island. I would highly recommend it.
