To back up my DVD's I first had to download a simple plugin which took only seconds to complete. Also it comes with a program that will allow you to strip audio from video clips. Now the only thing is that with this DVD copying program you can't fast forward through your backed up DVD. There is an other copying program that is only accessible through a online digital download only. This program is called DVDFAB, which does allow you to fast forward and rewind through your backed up DVD's. This flaw in not being able to fast forward or rewind in 123 Copy DVD Gold, is the only downside that I can speak of. As for the downsides for DVDFAB the price is outrageous, you must be connected to the internet to back up or use any of their products. So there for the price and versatility of 123 Copy DVD Gold I believe it's a very solid product. There is a learning curve to this program that's not taught in any instructions so be aware and ask people for help on here and/or google. This may be able to guide you with any problems your having if you're not familiar with using DVD backup programs.

One can make copies of non-copwyrited materials with remarkable ease. However, it will not allow me to make a backup of protected materials. When I bought this product, it claimed that the owner could use the product to make a backup of any CD or DVD. Not so, do not believe the claims made on the exterior of the box.. Only buy this program if you plan to use it to copy non-protected materials.

Great for capturing videos, and easy to use. Nice for the price

Does what it is supposed to for the most part, but I do have some issues with certain DVDs where I would be missing half an hour at a time

I was told that this product would correct the problem that I have with video that was shot with my ipad. Some of the video is sideways and before making dvd copies of it, I wanted something to help upright the sideways part of the video. This did not do it. The first time I used it, it took over 24 hours for the video to get copied. This is a really bad product, but I don't think the person who helped me with this product knew anything I needed it for or knew the products that were offered along the same line.

I find using this application is very easy and the video quality of the stuff it puts out are stellar

This is a good product to preserve and update favorite movie and music that is played on outdated equipment. It is easy to use and can be used on a digital device so you don't lose access to some of your favorite recorded events. The price was inexpensive and affordable as well.

Download was easyt t from disc. Free trial is available as well. I was able to create backup copies of all of the purchased DVDs I own no matter what the age. Backups to MP4 on my machine took from 20 to 30 minutes depending on length of the movie. I was using a new laptop and had not set my country code on the DVD and I had initial problems converting DVDs. Automatically I was able to send a email to support for help. I figured this out before they got back to me, but they did get back to me with the same solution. Only issue was that support was only available on week days not weekends. Having purchased many products for more money to achieve the backups without success this was great find.

This program is as advertised. It is easy to use, quick to work and has provided exactly what it promised. I can burn DVDs with ease. I can copy DVDs with ease. Downloading internet videos is quick and easy. This product is exactly what I wanted and I could not be happier.

The software is super easy to install and maintain. I've used older copies of this software and it works like the older versions. I've used it to backup our movie collection and allows us to view the files on more devices. I find that ripping cd's can be difficult and doesn't work as well as Windows Media Player, in my opinion. I wouldn't use it for professional video editing, but simple projects it will get some clips pieced together. Lag when trying to watch videos in the UI. Works for what I use it for, but it's not a good one stop shop for everything.

My laptop does not have a DVD/CD drive. When I travel, I like to watch movies or when staying somewhere other than home. I have a collection of over 450 DVD's. So, I will choose some movies that I would like to see again, burn them to the portable hard drive on my desktop and then use the portable HD to store those movies that I burned using the software. I haven't used some of the other software abilities but it's been pretty easy to use. I had an earlier version of this software and used it for years, but the company stopped making updates so I had to buy a newer version. For the price it was worth it.

Very easy to back up your old DVD's that can't be replaced.

I have had great success copying digital pictures and movies that I take with my camera to a DVD disc. This software is very easy to use . IT was easy to load on to my disk and laptop computer.

This program is very user friendly and does exactly what it says it will do. Also, it offers the ability to record into many different formats so that you can watch your movies with all of your devices. Great if you are on the go a lot or just want the flexibility. It was well worth the money I spent. You do have to download an add-on for the program in order to record store-bought videos, but after doing it you can make copies of these videos without any problems.

I purchased the software so that I could watch the movies that I already own, on my tablet. They copied perfectly to my tablet very easily.

It rips internet videos and DVDs flawlessly. If the DVD is copy protected, there are work arounds in the program to still rip it. I would have given it 5 stars, but I have had a few modern Nickelodeon DVDs that I just cannot break. I end up getting 1/2 the DVD converted to Digital (MP4), but not the whole movie or shows.
