To record on a cloud account you have to set it up using your AMAZON ACCOUNT No one told me this at the store. I found out Amazon makes blink. You can avoid using Amazon but you cant record videos after 30 days. There is a subscription with Amazon. The day I was there they were short on help. The employees are so techie oriented they are not thinking about seniors needing more info. Really nice camera, never set it up. You do need to download an app to your phone. I just found it too complicated. I will try to get another one but now I know the questions to ask.

Not needing batteries is great, and if sheltered can be used outside. However, the IR LEDs are apparently on all the time attracting many bugs triggering the motion sensor. Mapping the motion grid is not as granular as the XT2 models. Alexa can only turn the ENTIRE system on or off, not individually. Cameras do function as motion triggers with Alexa so you can make routines with motion triggers. Not bad for the price.
