BEST ANDROID PHONE IN THE MARKET AT REASONABLE $

BEST ANDROID PHONE IN THE MARKET AT REASONABLE $. At first I got the Honor 5x but I returned it due to unresponsive touch screen specially in the number #6 area when you dial a number. I received this Vivo 5 and I was surprised on the screen resolution and fast response of the phone. I sold my iphone 6 plus and replaced with this phone.

The good: nice and slim, lighter than I thought it would be with the aluminum case. The headphones sound great that came with it. The two main reasons for the purchase were battery life and storage, neither disappoints. The not so good: there was an immediate update after which there was no call log or message log. Both stayed empty even after sending and receiving calls and texts. I don't know what's going on with the UI but I downloaded a caller ID app which has a call log feature and switched messages to hangout as default which solved both problems. Overall it's a solid phone

    My 3rd Blu phone

This phone is far more superior than the 2 I already own: Blu Vivo Air and the Blu XL8. It has a snappy processor and the 720 is not a big deal, at least to me. The picture quality is also rather impressive; it is a phone folks and not a stand alone camera so, unless you need "professional" grade quality, you should not be disappointed. The only thing that I question is the dropped calls? I simply lose a call but I cannot determine the cause; carrier or phone - other than this, it truly is a really decent phone for the cost.

    Excellent budget phone

This is very visually appealing, the software is light, or should I say a very light version of android. I only gave 4 stars because of mms issues and lack of company support for their device. I've contacted Blu repeatedly for the stock software or a link to it and no response or solution yet.

I must say, this phone is great, I don't miss my LG G2. Very fast, plenty of internal storage, and very compact with a large screen. I like a big screen, but not a fan of large phones. This device solves that problem. It is definitely a flagship quality phone at a budget price. I don't care what the specs say.

A great phone that won't make you broke

It's great phone with many features. + 8-core phone that only gets warm and not hot like other 8-core phones + cast screen feature for putting your phone screen on a smart TV + good battery life, roughly an entire day of moderate use + plays games well and loads them quickly compared to my old quad core Blu phone from the Energy Studio 2 + Free update to 5.1 Android + AMOLED display means true blacks. It's easier on the eyes for people who like using their phone in low light or love watching movies + 32GB internal storage which is plenty for games and applications. You can always add a MicroSD card for 64GB (maybe more) for photos, videos, and music + very lightweight and feels comfortable with both hands. Not too fat or too thin (I personally dislike phones that are too thin) Here are my opinions on use after a week: +/- feels somewhat fragile so I recommend using the case and screen protector included +/- it's not really a big issue but the phone looks more white than silver on the front but the sides and back are obviously silver. It is not a big deal but I wanted to point that out for potential buyers

I really wanted to love this phone. It is super quick and the screen is beautiful. But after 3 days it couldn't load apps, and restarted 5 times in 1 day. It also would turn on for 10 minutes when I rebooted it. So unfortunately it has to go back.

My Vivo 5 makes a great paperweight.

After doing a couple of weeks of hard research, I decided to go with the Blu Vivo 5. I was excited to get it to replace a Blu Life Play that I've been trying to replace for a year now. The phone arrived by UPS ground yesterday and after all the research and waiting, I was so disappointed. First and biggest problem is that the phone will not charge at all, no matter what. Another issue is that I received a text as soon as I connected to the network stating that my settings for MMS and internet were incorrect and that I'd be receiving the new settings soon by text... I'm still waiting for that text 24 hours later... it's not coming. My signal goes from 0 to 3 bars where it was mostly always at 3 bars with the phone I was replacing. One last thing I noticed is that the phone came in a generic phone box rather than the gold Blu Vivo 5 box that I've seen these Vivo 5's come in. Could I have been sent a refurbished phone that was sold to me as "New"? I don't doubt it. I called Blu for help first and they were so frustrating. I repeated the issues I was experiencing about four separate times to the "tech" who had answered my call until he finally understood. He was hardly listening and kept asking me the same questions. I've called them before for help with my older Blu Life Play and those experiences were about as frustrating. All he basically had me do was do a hard factory reset/data wipe - which didn't fix the issue. My next step was to go to Best Buy. All they said was that I should call their 1-888 number to schedule a return and "possible" replacement phone, if available. Or they could just reimburse there on the spot and take the phone. I opt'd to call Best Buy and left the store. I called Best Buy and after being bounced around for about 20 minutes, I finally got a returns cust service rep. He informed me that they have no more phones and he "assumed" they are discontinued now. If I scheduled a return with him, I'd have to continue to wait, print, box, etc. Undue work for a phone that should've been good. Looks like my only path now is to go back to go back to Best Buy and just hand over the phone for a refund. Then back to square one. I'm so frustrated with trying to get a good, unlocked, up to date, affordable phone.

Before you buy check out Blu's F BBB rating!

Blu Products deserves the F they have earned when it comes to service. I bought a new top of the line Blu smart phone and it froze under warranty, and could not be revived even with hours of service support, (mostly spent on hold). Apparently this is common and they told me send it back to them and they would send me another one. So far not bad, very polite. SENDING ME ANOTHER ONE TOOK WAY OVER A MONTH, after they got my phone and agreed it needed to be replaced despite a half a dozen calls from me to find out what was taking so long. They told me they are totally overwhelmed with phones that are breaking under warranty. So over a month later I get my replacement, and it didn't work right out of the box, so I call them back and they tell me they wipe the software off broken phones like the one I sent in and send them back out to other customers without testing them. Mine obviously has a problem that can't be cured by reloading the software. So I ask them to send me another one that works ASAP, and they tell me they can't I have to send the second broken phone in first and it took OVER ANOTHER MONTH, after they got the phone before THEY CONTACTED ME WITH AN ULTIMATUM: They tell me they no longer have any phones like min and if I give them my permission will replace it with another phone of THEIR CHOOSING, or IF I REFUSE THE PHONE THEY WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH, THEY WILL NO LONGER OWE ME ANYTHING. I was given a month to decide I have already lost more money on my provider's service contract than the phone is worth, not had a phone for months, have over $50 of color coordinated accessories that only fit that phone, and they want to give me something else! I told them to send me my broken phone back and they told me they wouldn't even do that unless I paid them to, so I did. Maybe some else can fix it. Their official name is Blu Products Miami Florida

Got mine yesterday. The phone looks great, works great, except NO SOUND!!!! Tried everything form the software point of view, nothing works. I could understand the lesser quality, but not this. I am returning mine today. I may have received a lemon, but my recommendation is DON'T BUY!!! I hope this helps somebody else to make the right decision

This has to be the worst brand cell phone I have ever owned. This is a company is from Miami started up by a young guy and I wanted to love this phone for those reasons. The first phone I had lasted a week and just stopped working. Best buy gave me a new replacement phone and in a week, the Android bot came on and once again Best Buy said the phone could not be fixed. Two pieces of junk, what's the odds. I purchased another brand
