I was able to use the price-match option on this, making the cost even fairer. And it showed up ahead of time. As for the film, I'm a huge fan of director Paul Thomas Anderson and, like his other works, this one shows his mastery of cinematic storytelling and technique, though its content isn't for everyone!

This movie was fun to watch in the theaters when it originally came out and it's even more fun to watch now on Bluray in your own home. Mark Wahlberg is great as Dirk Diggler. The rest of the cast is awesome. It was enjoyable from the beginning right up to the end with the eye opening climactic scene right before the credits roll.

Boogie nights gives great insight into the excess, that was the seedier movie industry in the early days of the 70's. Tracked through the main characters trials and tribulations (Dirk Diggler), from a nobody - to superstar - to less than nothing (by his own doing). The clothes, hairstyles, talk, behavior, music, and excess of the 70's are captured beautifully. The acting is top notch, and the no holds barred, subject matter makes this movie so compelling. It's NOT glamourous.. it was the reality of those days.

This movie is a must have for Burt Reynolds and Mark Wahlberg fans! Both do an amazing job acting. And let me say that Don Cheadle playing the Black cowboy is absolutely hilarious!!

This movie follows the personal lives of quite a few individuals who also happen to be part of the LA adult movie making scene of the 1970's. The music and wardrobe accurately depict the time. An interesting and fun movie.

Boogie Nights is a classic of 90's cinema portraying the rise and fall of 70's adult film star Dirk Diggler as played by Mark Wahlberg. The gang romps their way to success in the 70's only to suffer the consequences of their excess in the 80's. Brilliantly written and directed, a must see!

Boogie Nights is Paul W. Anderson's stunningly-realized film about the ups and downs of the "adult film" industry in the period of the late 1970s-early 1980s. Great cast, including Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore and Heather Graham, the movie is never less than riveting, and looks great on HD Blu-Ray.

Very happy that I traded up from my DVD to this Blu-ray. Picture and soundtrack have that much more POP. Have always loved the rollergirl scene, and all in all the movie stands up over time. Lots of great names in the cast.

Paul Thomas Anderson's Hollywood debut and first mainstream film to gain him the recognition he deserves. The DVD has great features including DVD commentary by a filmmaker learned how to make films from commentary.

No really! I had seen it, but my girlfriend had not, so I got it for her to see. I think she wanted more Marky Mark, if you know what I mean. "everyone in the movie got to see it, I only got to see it for a second at the end"

I was there to pick up another item and saw this and couldn't resist. This movie is a guilty pleasure. Am a fan of Mark Wahlberg and Heather Graham is always hot nude. Glad I was able to find this on sale as I did.
