We have an open world, FPS, RPG leveling up, awesome cartoony graphics. Borderlands is a cross between GTA, Halo, Crackdown, and Fallout. If you like these games, you will love Borderlands, and its DLC. GAME OF THE YEAR comes out soon with all 4 DLC (New 4th DLC announced at PAX 9-5-10)

My husband and son play this together and have a blast. They play on our LAN - each on their own system/tv they have had hours of fun so far! My son didn't like this game when he played it by himself, but when he plays with someone else, he loves it.

Great game and great value for your money. Both Borderlands and Borderlands 2 are great values for your money. I would recommend purchase of both of these items. Consider purchasing the Game of the Year Editions for free Downloadable Content.

It's a good game I play it time to time. I just don't play well so I have to continue to learn more about it but it's fun to play.but it's not as addicting as some other games of the same nature.

I like this one because this one u get health packs the story line it's ok I like the story line in the second one.

I picked up the wrong game for my son for Christmas. He was fine with not returning. He seems to be enjoying.

A comic book video game that is graphic and awesome

We got this game because I fell in love with Borderlands 2 and I wanted to play the first half of the story. Love it. Not as cool as 2, but I love the story and the world.

This game is all about side quests to level up your character and can even split screen with a friend

Borderlands is a first person shooter/RPG elements game.With it's comic book stylistic graphics,It's a straight up action game full of skill,character classes,and tons of loot which means guns.The story has you on the planet of Pandora to search for a valuable vault of alien technology.Get 3 friends pick one of the four character classes and team up for some co-op play and get down to business.The game allows them to drop-in and out at anytime.Borderlands is filled with lots and lots of guns that have various types,abilities,and power levels.About half way through the game it kind of runs a little out of steam,the game has 50 character levels.Most of the guns during the middle of gameplay are sightly better than the ones in the beginning.The shooting action is very satisfying you're unlikely to notice this.Borderlands is a full on blizzard of quest,explosions,and shootouts and it's full of surprises.The game also rewards skill of play.Even if you're under leveled or outgunned successful placed head shots will result in critical hits that can make or even break a pitched battle.All four character classes feel very different.Each one has a specific ability that defines them.Your choice of skill sets and class mods can make even two of the same characters play very different.Multiple playthroughs and alternate characters will be certainly common among players.With a bit more variety and item types and more user activated abilities to earn this would have been one that would have crossed into greatness.But if you liked this review you'll still have fun with it.

Tons of random weapons, from the run of the mill pistol, to a rocket spewing shotgun! It is a blast just treasure hunting. The enemy AI is OK but relies heavily on out gunning you. The plot starts slow but steadily ramps up. You can customize your character's class, ability's, and power ups. definitely enough replay value to warrant buying. I have several friends on their 3 run through. I always suggest buying new vs. used, you usually only save $5. If you watch Best Buy closely you can often save $5-$25 hitting the sales and special offers, and you'll get it new!
