Dishwasher did not work had to order a different brand

We are very pleased with this dishwasher so far. Although it doesn't hold as much as my old Samsung dishwasher, I think it washes dishes much better. I"m putting my stainless pots and pans in with just light rinsing and so far they are coming out nice and clean. So far I have only used the "auto" setting. The dishwasher also uses less detergent. We have a lot of plastic items, and with the built-in heating, our plastic is much dryer now when the cycle finishes. The dishwasher was installed by Best Buy and we were happy with the installation.

This is a nice sleek looking dishwasher. Has many features and easy to use. I had this professionally installed. Installation was quick and I was up and running in no time. Only issue I have had is when I close the door, the seal on the top right doesnt seem to seal good. There is a tiny bit of water condensating on the top right of the door. BUT, when i close the door,, then give the right top part of the door a little push,, seems to get a good seal.. twice when I have just closed the door,, ive seen water condensating like from the steam escaping. But never had an issue when i give it a little push after closing the door. Not happy with this but to me its such a minor issue, I dont want to hassle with it. Still a very good upgrade from my old dishwasher. I'm okay with this issue but because of this, I can not recommend this.

You don't know what you have until it's gone! Recently moved out of a condo that had this dishwasher, brand new, when we moved in. For the price you cannot beat this, it cleans fantastically, is whisper quiet and looks great. We moved in to a new home a few weeks ago with a cheap GE dishwasher and immediately we realized how great the Bosch was. The GE is so much louder and doesn't clean well at all. The inside and dials are not good looking and we are now severely missing the Bosch and cannot wait for the GE to break! You must see this Bosch dishwasher in person to really appreciate what it has going on as it's a great value for what you get comparatively speaking and has a streamlined clean / flush look. If you're in the market for a $500-$600 dishwasher (or even something cheaper than that), buy this. I honestly don't see a reason not to buy this as it should last a while and does a great job. Yes, you could find a dishwasher for less money but you'll find plenty of things to hate about it within the first day and wish you had spent just a little more money.

Very quiet dishwasher - sometimes i can't tell if it actually started. There are other reviews written here that the dishes don't get dry. If you adjust the settings (use the manual) to dispense the max amount of rinse aid - your dishes will get dry. I wish the cycle ran more quickly. 2 hours+ is a long time for it to run i think. I've used the 55 minute half load setting and it seems effective. ALSO - if your home set-up requires an OPEN BOTTOM dishwasher (many are closed bottom), then this is a good washer for your home.

We got this dishwasher a week ago. I was impressed with how well it cleaned, even dried on crusty dishes. My only complaint so far is the beeping at the cycles end. Ridiculous! Every 5 minutes it beeps loudly until someone opens it to turn it off. So much for washing at night.

Dishwasher reviews typically have negative comments regarding the racks. You will get used to the racks. The most important aspect of a dishwasher is that you put in dirty dishes that come out clean - and this dishwasher does that perfectly. It has a nice clean look with the buttons on top - set it, shut the door, and wait for clean dishes. Use the "sanitize" setting to make sure everything gets dry.

Love this dishwasher. Installation was simple and straight forward. Cleans the dishes great and you can barely hear it running. Love the features and options.

FANTASTIC dishwasher. Doesn't have the frills of the higher models, but the racks inside are very well designed, super spacious and washed great. We tested it with "Thanksgiving grease" and worked perfectly.

SHX5AV55UC. Bought May 2017. Overall are happy with this dishwasher so far. It does not dry, but that is fine. We never use the drying feature of dishwashers to save energy cost anyway. Never had a dishwasher without a disposer. Have a disposer under the sink. So far haven't needed a disposer in the dishwasher. Have not needed to clean the filter yet either. We don't pre-rinse things except maybe really heavily soiled dishes. Biggest issue is the stainless front has etched stains that we can't remove and part of the front is covered in plastic which is peeling off and was damaged when we tried to clean it thinking they were smudges. So after only four months it looks 10 years old.

After buying a Samsung Dishwasher and kicking it to the curb for poor performance, at great expense, I did more research and bought a Bosch. What a difference. Dishes, glasses and silverware are squeaky clean and most especially dry. Samsung makes great things to listen too, but Bosch is clearly the winner in Dishwashers. My wife can't wait to put together a full load of dishes and run it. So quiet you need the "on" red light to know it is working.

Very happy with my purchase. My dishes are really clean and the dishwasher is extremely quite. I am really happy with this purchase. The geek squad installed it and were very flexible with the delivery.

We had an old Bosch (12+ years old) that went out (pump) and needed to replace it. We were very happy with how long the old Bosch washer lasted and worked for us, we were set in only looking at Bosch. After looking at several Bosch models we settled on the Ascenta 24 unit. First off, the design is sleek, there are not buttons on the front face (located on the top of the door), and has a cup style handle. The interior racking is set up very well allowing you to maximize the number of dishes that you can fit into it. The most important element to a dishwasher's performance (other than it working) is the sound. This washer runs at 46dB so it is very quiet. The light indicator stays lit red when it is running and turns off when complete. The most annoying element about the end of the cycle is a 'beep' that continues until you open the door alerting that the cycle is complete. I don't understand why this is the factory standard, but it is fairly easy to turn down or completely off (just following the instruction in the owner's manual). As for cleaning, we have run about 20 loads since we have had this installed and all come out very clean. I would recommend this washer as a good alternative to the higher end washer available. It gives you all you need low sound, cleaning effectiveness, but without some of the bells and whistles.

We've had this dishwasher for about 2 years. It washes great and is very quiet. However, the darn thing has no way to lock it shut so every single time we run it I have to push it closed about 20 times just to keep the wash cycle going. It's so frustrating that we hardly use it anymore - we wash dishes by hand, having a constant stack of drying dishes when actually we have a friggin' dishwasher, yet can't get it to complete the cycle without restarting it over and over. Also, the lower rack dish slots are way too close together that you have to put your plates in every other one. No one has flat plates, they are all curved slightly, and it doesn't clean the dishes when placed in each slot like they're supposed to. And yes, we rinse our dishes very well before placing them in. Again, it washes great and is quiet. But I recommend finding a dsihwasher that locks so that it actually will finish the cycle. If I had known about the lock issue, I would have NEVER purchased this model.

This Bosch dishwasher looks fabulous sitting in the middle of our kitchen, uninstalled. Too bad there's a week in between delivery and installation. Unfortunately, the representative on the phone didn't know the difference between delivery and installation, even though I asked if he was sure that installation had been scheduled. The delivery team was very courteous and apologized for the inconvenience, but now I have a dishwasher sitting in the middle of my kitchen for a week until the installer can come. Most likely, I'll waste the "free installation" and will do it myself. Actually, the delivery team required me to disconnect the old dishwasher before they would haul it away, so homeowner involvement is required anyway. If you're going to install this yourself, it's a good choice. If you need installation, I'd consider other options than Best Buy.

If I put more than five plates (Fiesta) in the bottom rack, much less fully load it, the weight causes the rack to put pressure on the bottom spray arm and stop it from spinning. It would not clean a coffee cup after two cycles. I called the local store where I purchased the dishwasher regarding the issue and was told unless I purchased a protection plan, Best Buy could not help me. This is a design flaw and not a product failure. I've been a loyal Best Buy customer and am very disappointed in the service I received.

I am very pleased with this dishwasher. It is quiet and cleans very well. The only complaint I have is the layout of the bottom rack, but all of the other models & brands I looked had inefficient layouts for the bottom rack as well.

The sales rep at Best Buy was very helpful with this purchase. The delivery and installation of the Bosch dishwasher was timely and easy. Most importantly the dishwasher is really excellent at cleaning and amazingly quiet.

While looking for a replacement dishwasher, we stopped at our local Best Buy. The salesman there listened to what we were looking for, answered our questions, and pointed out several machines that were possible choices. He was not pushy at all but very polite and helpful. He also pointed out that the unit we ended up purchasing was also on sale at that particular time. We could not find any other home appliance store with comparable products or prices so we returned to Best Buy and purchased the LG dishwasher. It has more than met our expectations, especially in the area of being quiet. We are thankful that the noise level was one of our main criteria. We have had this for almost five months now and are very happy with this device.

Quietest dishwasher I have ever not heard. Dishes are clean and dry. I love the adjustable height on the top rack and the stem holders for wine glasses. Great dishwasher for this price range!
