This is our second BOSCH dishwasher. The first one, we kept because we spent a lot of money and everyone told us how great it was. It wasn't all that great. We moved in to a new place and had to replace the current dishwasher. We went to Best Buy because frankly they have the best service plans around. We were recommended to go with the Bosch as it was within out budget, and color scheme. The dishwasher was delivered on Saturday, I installed it (plug it in, attach water and discharge) and ran a test cycle. The rinse cycle ran as it should. Sunday morning we loaded the dishwasher up to run it, and it ran for 1 minute and 20 seconds, before beeping and saying dishes clean. We tried again, and again. Same results. The dish washing powder hadn't even been released. We returned this unit the same day and are awaiting a Kenmore. DO NOT BUY

Am I the only person that finds this does not wash well? my first load was full but I would not consider it overloaded. The first two times i ran the auto cycle, the washer tab did not dissolve. On the 3rd try (and w a different brand of tab) if finally washed. The dishes were filthy? Is it me? Also, why does the unit beep for 4 minutes straight about 90-120 seconds into a cycle (i just did auto and rinse - same thing happened)? The beeping is really killer. Lastly, the manual that comes with the dishwasher is pretty much useless. The most basic information (such as the beeping) is not included. I want my old Siemens back.

Normally we rely on the reviews provided when we make major purchases. I’m really wondering who bought this dishwasher and thought it was good. Functionally it is ok and it looks nice enough but it has some horrible features that may drive me to take a sledgehammer to it. First, it beeps when the cycle is done. Not just once mind you, but continually until you get up and shut it off manually. And even though we have scoured the instructions AND the internet, there is no way to disable the *&$# beeping. And it’s LOUD. This is the most unnecessary feature I can think of and because our kitchen opens up to our living room, we can be engrossed in a movie or show and the dishwasher will beep incessantly until we get up and power it off. Next, supposedly you can change cycles - but that is also impossible. I’m not sure if this is a defect or another thing they have just made a secret or impossible to figure out. Top rack is big but the utensil shelves cut down on the size of glasses, etc. you can place on the top rack because in an upright position it interferes with the sprayer. Bottom rack is ok size-wise (not great, but ok), but if you have large plates they aren’t going to fit. Also, the bottom rack regularly slips off the track which makes it very difficult for our kids to load or unload (if your kids are like ours look for this to be an excuse to not do dishes). We purposely did not go with a cheaper model because we figured we’d end up getting what we paid for - so it’s not like we chose some clearance reject. I had expectations that this would be a decent dishwasher based on the fact we paid over $600. However, I have developed an intense hatred for this appliance based on the beeping. Not sure if this is a “feature” for all Bosch dishwashers, but I will steer clear of the brand in the future. Best Buy delivery and installation was great though.

Do not recommend this product. Very bad design only fits have as much as old dishwasher. Bowls are especially hard to fit in. Also has a funky smell (sour milk?) I wish I had paid more attention to bad reviews. We wanted to return but you only have 15 days and it's day 18! Best Buy won't help us. Guess I'll be eating my cereal from a plate now

We thought we were buying top of the Line - Bosch 46 dba dishwasher. Well, it is quiet, but it does NOT dry the dishes at all. Not a happy customer.

I almost never write reviews, but this dishwasher is so bad that I have to say something. The first issue is that it smells horribly inside. I had Best Buy come back out to see if they had installed it incorrectly; however, they sent the same technician to fix it. Needless to say, my trust in this man is not great, and so the problem persists. I'm unsure if it's due to the dishwasher or Best Buy's poor installation. Secondly, this dishwasher BEEPS when it's done and keeps on beeping if you do not turn it off. I'm not sure why Bosch or anyone would include this feature in a dishwasher. My 10 year old dishwasher from Sears was better than this piece. Thirdly, the dishwasher often turns off mid-cycle, and I have to restart it. I expected better from a Bosch product. Save yourself the headache and do not buy this poorly designed dishwasher!

Even on extended dry, the dishes are still wet or damp. What's the point, if I have to dry them with a towel too? It's nearly impossible to load the bottom rack without it jumping off the little track. What a terrible design. It will drive you nuts.

Dishwasher beeps continuously after washing cycle is completed. The only way to stop it is to open the dishwasher. So if you go to bed and are proximal to dishwasher, it will beep until you wake up or get out of bed and open door. I called Bosch customer service and they said there is no way this can be disabled. I was told I would get a call from Bosch supervisor, did not. Its installed, I'm stuck with it but very unhappy with the product and with Bosch for selling a product which for many people has a strong defect

I bought this unit based off positive reviews. However, just after 1 year the unit would not fill with water. I had to call a service tech. The minimum is $126 to come out. The tech originally said it was an inlet valve and he had to order the part. One week and $266 later he returned with the part to replace. The unit still does not work! Now he says it is the "board" and another $150 + visit. The lack of service on this brand is a major problem. You can replace the dishwasher for less.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Best Buy messed up the installation and was unable to either correct it or give me a new machine for over 4 months. I had floods in my basement and a defective dishwasher and hours and hours of time on the phone with no help at all. After three attempts to deliver machines that were defective Bosch came and showed me the defective installation. They corrected everything in 15 minutes. The machine works perfectly I WILL NEVER USE BEST BUY AGAIN. BEWARE!

The dishwasher is great. The customer service is horrible! We ordered two dishwashers. One was installed, and one was broken and had to be returned. 15 calls, two weeks, three blown installation appointments later, we had no dishwasher. We canceled the second dishwasher and went with another company. Best buys service is unprecedentedly horrible.

I don't understand how people are giving good reviews about this washer as i have 1 word for it disaster.doesnt clean the dishes neither dries them .
