very quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My new Bosch dishwasher is very sleek and looks great in my new kitchen. I love the different adjustments available to the racks making more space for larger items. It does a good job washing the dishes, my only complaint is it doesn't dry the dishes very well. Even when I press the extra dry feature. It is an extremely quiet dishwasher.

Ultra Quiet-Pleased with Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bosch dishwasher lives up to it's billing as a quiet machine. With our open floor plan the dishwasher is close to where we watch TV and this is a big improvement over our old machine. You can barely hear it running. The three racks make it easy to find a place for almost every dish or utensil. The top rack is great for silverware, measuring cups , etc. and being an older person I appreciate not having to bend over to get to the silverware basket. The layout is different from our old Whirlpool and that takes some getting used to but we found that some deeper plates we could not fit into our old machine fit well in the Bosch. It does not have a heated drying function which saves energy but means that some items will come out with drops of water on them. Cups with concave bottoms will have some water left in them. We knew this when we bought it and were not surprised but that's the only reason we didn't give it a "5". The payoff is that you can safely put most plastics in without fear of melting and the "extra heat" dry function helps a lot. We were reluctant to choose a machine with top controls because you can't see them with the door closed. You get used to that and end up loving it because you don't have to bend over to see them.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the third rack for flatware and the flexibility of all the racks. This has to be the quietest dishwasher on the market and does a thorough job.

Great quiet dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks and cleans great and quietly. Also has a slight interior odor even after rinsing dirty dishes until you run a cleaning cycle again.

Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this dishwasher for a year now. We are very happy with it. It is extremely quiet and washes the dishes well. The third rack is perfect for holding chopsticks and little ramekins. However, there are 2 things I don't really like. 1- The tines on the racks fit the dishes in weird. It took a good 6 months to find a dish configuration that works for us, and even then, it doesn't really work all that well. 2- The soap pods don't always dissolve fully. I'm not sure if that is because we've overloaded it (possibly), the soap door isn't opening in time, or if the soap pods are crap. For me, these things are rather minor. We had a Samsung that crapped out at year one before this. It was so bad that I can over look quite a lot now. All in all, I'd buy it again so long as it holds out for a few more years.

Amazingly quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the dishwasher is impressively quiet--I often think that it's raining outside instead of washing dishes. The only real complaint I've had so far is the annoying beeping at the end of its cleaning cycle--we immediately went to the owners manual to turn that off. It's an unfortunate default choice for such an impressively quiet machine. Love the ease of sliding out the racks, and the third rack is very helpful for large spoons and other utensils.

Very Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it during Labor Day sale. I was told that Bosch does not have sales usually. Not only it was on sale, I also had free delivery and installation. It was a great deal! Anyway, we've had this dishwasher for 2 weeks now. Using it about twice a week. It's very quiet, although we have other noisy things nearby (fish aquariums) that drown out the dishwasher. The dishes come out very clean. However, they are not completely dry, since it does not use heat. We knew about this before we bought it, so it's expected. I usually don't use heat-drying anyway because I wash a lot of plastic bottles. Yes, I use Jet Dry. So if you really need heat-drying option, this is not for you. Otherwise, it's a great product. The buttons are hidden when you close the door. So there is red light at the bottom of the machine that shines to the floor to let you know that the machine is still running. When the cycle ends, no red light.

Great look, clean dishes, silent operation
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is ALMOST everything you want it to be. Sleek, attractive, deadly silent. Water gets extremely hot, dishes sparkle, all the front end is great. The problem? Ours doesn't drain enough to dry. There's enough water remaining in the pan that the dishes don't get dry. The drying period becomes more of a dish sauna. We wind up hand drying everything as we put it away.

Super Quiet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher is so quiet that you can have a conversation standing beside it in a normal volume. We love the three racks, using the top one for silverware and freeing space on the bottom one for larger items. Dishes come out clean, even on the 1-hour cycle. It does develop an odor if the screen filter is not cleaned between uses.

Cleans great but smells like oil.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleans much better than my old dishwasher. Love the third rack. Extra dry cycle works well, however some plastic items may have water standing. This is actually better than our last dishwasher as well. Only complaint is there is still an oil smell after two weeks. I would give it 5 stars if the smell goes away.

So quiet you won't know it's running - really!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of few dishwashers with the third rack, this one gives ample space to add utensils and ramekins without using up the space in the main racks below. All three include adjustment options (bottom rack tines, middle rack raises/lowers and tilts, top rack sides raise/drop). Super quiet - the only time you can hear that it's running from more than 3 feet away is when the water flushes - and that's just the drainage pipes (outside of the dishwasher). Only complaint would be the heated dry. To avoid having water remain in the top rack and on some of the dishware, you have to choose the Extra Dry option.

Washes our dishes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It cleans the dishes very well, and ultiimately that's all we care about. Nitpicking items: the dishes don't dry all the way. It beeps every time you shut the door. Large water bottles have to be cleaned on the bottom rack due to size limitations on the top. All in all, it's good.

Best out of the rest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I've had this dishwasher for a few months now. Things to love: lots of space for dishes with adjustable top rack, super quiet, glows red beam on floor when on- with the option to turn off this feature as well as others with the digital controls. Dishes get really clean, but only if you keep filter cleaned often, as well as rinse aid in the machine. Things not to love: dishes don't get totally dry. The stainless shows streaks, dirt & fingerprints. You have to push the start button again if you open it during a cycle for any reason. Kinda pricey, on sale we bought for $770 with free delivery & install. Still no big reasons to hate it!

Very quiet dishwasher.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bosch dishwasher is very quiet & cleans dishes very well. I like that 3rd rack on top. It’s taking awhile to find the best ways to load it. Hard to fit cutting boards. Otherwise I like it very much.

Solid dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid setup with the third rack and lots of washing options. Pretty quite, though not completely silent, and cleans well. I do wish the middle row locked into place a little more securely.

Very Quiet Dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally ordered a GE. It was then discontinued. Best Buy offered the Bosch as a comparable item they did have in stock. The Bosch is extremely quiet, cleans your dishes well, BUT do not expect dry dishes. Had we known about the lack of heated drying we would have waited. So if you don’t mind having to towel water off of some dishes and wipe the moisture off the door then this machine may be good for you. Lack of heated drying is a Negative for my wife and I.

Washes well but drying could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very quiet machine and it cleans well. I can get a lot into it in different configurations. I would prefer the drying of the dishes to be more effective.

Quiet, nice features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We mostly like this dishwasher. It is very quiet, has a lot of room, solid construction and parts, and we love the third rack. Everything comes out clean and dry, except for some glasses and coffee cups that have a cupped base... these retain water--but then I've never owned a dishwasher where this didn't happen. Only two things are a small nuisance, the reason I give 4 stars: first, the controls and display are hidden when the door is closed, so if the unit is running, you can't see how much longer the cycle will run. Second, we haven't figure out a good place to put a lot of bowls. We can get maybe five in what looks like the best spot (and the instructions suggest is). Maybe we just haven't looked at the problem in the right way. Small problems, and I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. But all in all, we'd buy this one again. And if the other reviews are right, Bosch builds more solid units than the brands we've had before.
