The quality of this product is great and both the oven and microwave are big time savers. Bought this one to replace a kitchen aide which broke when opening. The one opens much better and has several nice features. For what it is, this is a really solid constructed product and the touch screen responds well. The negatives are the price and the volume. I use the timer often and even in the high setting it is not very loud. Some might see that as a benefit but I have kids.

Great product. It is definitely designed for a condos, vacation homes and small family, mostly couples who frequently go out for dinners but occasionally enjoy a light cooking when entertaining a small group of friends. Great design and quality that is expected from this brand.

While this Bosch 800-series microwave looks great when paired with the matching Bosch 800-series oven, and I've no complaints about operation or general build quality, it just isn't worth the cost for the match. I didn't purchase this unit with the intention of putting the convection features to frequent use. The most frequent use would, of course, be as a microwave. On this point, the unit falls short. Versus the 1100-watt microwave it was ostensibly going to replace, this Bosch unit tends to leave the food on the center of the plate noticeably cooler than the edges and it takes noticeably longer to heat the food to the same temperature. The final nail in the coffin is a noticeable buzz from the control panel that is audible, in a silent kitchen, from seven to eight feet away. I have tried two units and both make this noise. So I must assume it's endemic to the model. Call me disappointed. I'd purchased the Bosch 800 oven with the hope of matching it with this unit. So much for that. Had I known I couldn't, I wouldn't have purchased Bosch, period.
