Disappointed despite having the Bose name
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product for running. It was to replace the Sennheiser CX380 Sport Series II Noise Isolating Earbuds I have used for the past 5+ years and they were outstanding. Unfortunately, that product has been since discontinued. Biggest issue was the volume. I could not get the volume loud enough. I prefer having a enough volume that I ultimately need to lower it some. That was certainly not the case. Additionally, the base wasn't strong at all. From a comfort standpoint, the earbuds were just ok. I was surprised by this as I have used a Bose bluetooth headset for a long time that I usually don't realize I have on because it is so comfortable. What I did find uncomfortable was the distance from the "Y" leading to each earbud. I prefer to have the cord behind my neck while running so it doesn't flop around and I don't sweat on it as much. To do that with this product causes it tug slightly when you turn your head. The way the Sennheiser product addresses this issue is to make the cord leading to the right earbud slightly longer than the left. My last issue is the design of the plug connection. I have found in the past with a straight plug opposed to a plug on a 45* angle, the straight one will have a tendency to have an issue with shorting in the future. I will never get to know if this is true because I have tossed them in a drawer and will probably never use. A waste of $100 bucks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
