Great sound, better with the BOSE 300 bass. Easy set up.

After buying and returning 3 different sound bars (sony htc 780, Polk omni) After much thought i finally decided i would spend the money on the Bose, and boy am i glad. I looked at the Sonus (same price) but didnt like the sound was just too muddy. I know most people go crazy about the Sonus but for me the Bose fit all my needs and more.

I have tried different sound systems in the past after having several Bose systems and have not found any that match the quality and options that Bose delivers. I had recently tried a top of the line sound system from a Major manufacturer and found that it did not measure up to the sound Bose provides with the acoustimass technology.

I tried the smaller Bose soundbar, which I liked ($250) but it was too small for my big screen in the living room so I gave to my parents for their kitchen TV. I had previously bought the Martin Logan sound bar and it was good to a point but dialogue was still too base heavy so I returned it.I heard the Bose 300 at the store and it sounded very good ( it was connected to the optional wireless subwoofer) so I gave it a try. Sound is overall good but I feel the dialogue is still a bit of an issue - I hear a little too much reverb or bass - not as crisp as I would like. The simulated surround is pretty good - I can hear sound to my left an right and I know there is no speaker so it is projecting off the wall well I guess. It is well made, looks great and the remote is nice although I have several real issues with the remote - why are the two main buttons that control the bass and the dialogue mode stuck at the very bottom left of the remote?? Not easy to access with one hand. There is no backlite - which for a $700 speaker is terrible - the remote has very few touch points so it is almost impossible to select buttons without a light on - very frustrating. I have wavered on returning it and trying another sound bar but at this point I am not sure any will sound too much better - this may be the limit of current sound bar technology. I have read just about every review of every possible sound bar and this one gets some of the best reviews by consumers and pros so. The only other thing I can do is add the surround speakers and maybe the subwoofer - that all may give it more of a punch and surround but I don't think it will affect the dialogue.

This sound bar is a little more expensive but I love the expandability and upgrade feature to add other devices wirelessly. Mine is mounted at about 5' high and sometimes when sitting on the ground I don't get the full sound functions as when I am sitting on a chair or standing. I also get a little sound bouncing off the back wall (brick fireplace) the louder I turn it up. The bluetooth feature is an awesome feature that is used frequently.

Sound is great! Set up was relatively straight forward.

Excellent sound and even better with the bass speaker

I looked at many different sound bars and kept coming back to the Bose 300. The sound is amazing and I didn't even buy the subwoofer. Bose does Sound and not refrigerators and all sorts of other consumer items, that fact was a big influencer for me. I'm saving money and will buy the subwoofer in a few months, it will be worth the wait.

Can't believe you require a minimum of 50 words here especially since this is a redundant question! Like I said previously, this product has great sound and projection of the sound. It can be set to specific areas of any room very easily. In conclusion, I would recommend Bose Soundtouch 300 to anyone looking for quality of sound.

Great sound bar. Awesome sound! Easy set up just perfect!

For my first sound bar I only had a couple miner issues setting up and found Bose to have a great support department.

I bought this unit to pair up with my Samsung 70" tv. The sound quality was awesome in the store. I took it home, hooked it up via HDMI as per the instructions and the sound was just great. The next day I fired up the tv and the soundbar would not turn on with the TV. I troubleshooted the soundbar on the Bose website and would not play anything. I finally hooked it up via optical and it started playing through the soundbar. However, I did notice a difference in sound and was not happy, considering the amount of money I paid for the soundbar. I search the internet, after I was not satisfied with the troubleshooting guide Samsung offered. It Turns out that it is not compatible with MOST Samsung TV's. Bose has been aware of this and to this date has not provided a firmware update. I ended returning the Bose and bought a Samsung soundbar that give me the sound I wanted. I would have given it more stars, but the compatibility issue needs to be addressed.

This is an excellent soundbar for bose speaker lovers. I rated 4 bcoz working with wifi and soundtouch app is little challenging specially when iphone is idle for long time, the connection will be lost, so we have to re-run the soundtouch setup, I hope Bose has an update for this issue in the next software releases. Other than this its a very good soundbar with great quality of sound, you will never regret buying this.

A little bit on the expensive side, but great sound

I recently purchased a new television, and decided to upgrade the sound bar. I couldn't afford both the sub woofer and the bar. The bar, all by itself, is a great sound. I chose the Bose over Sonos because I have other Bose SoundTouch speakers, and I can play music on the soundbar as well. I will be getting the sub woofer soon.
