Bose soundbar 300 is exceptional. I'm happy with the sound quality. Only negative point is that periodically it stops playing when connected to my Samsung TV. I have to disconnect the power cords and hdmi arc and plug them again. Other than this issue, I'm happy with it

This is an expensive soundbar, no doubt. But it's worth it for the rich and expansive sound quality. I'm sure there are better sound systems out there if space and money are no object, but I can't imagine that there's a TV sound system which is this compact, beautiful-looking, and easy to set up.
I considered getting the Acoustimass Bass Module, but decided against it because it's very expensive. In any event, the soundbar produces good bass on its own. Especially if you have a smaller room (like our living room), this unit will be terrific on its own. I've owned other soundbars & sound bases. This is a huge step up. It makes a huge difference in my enjoyment of movies (especially on Blu Ray), music, and TV.

I purchased this Bose Sound Touch not knowing much about it but trusting the Bose name. I would definitely recommend this product. Very sleek looking. Amazing sound coming out of such a small device!

Very pleased with my Bose 300....Lacks little bass but still has a great sound for your flat screen TV. You'll really notice the difference when you set it up and compare the sound bar against your normal TV...In store demos don't give you a true comparison.

This speaker sounds great. It sounds best on higher volume levels. I had the speaker alone but needed more base so I purchased the $699 subwoofer which helps. I still would like more performance from the both at low listening levels. When it's time to turn up, they do.

Expensive, but what a difference! Purchased just the sound bar, no extra anything as we did NOT want to "feel the music". So glad; conversation is heard & music doesn't blow out our ears.

I purchased hoping for the quality that Bose usually delivers. I'm sad to say this does not meet those standards. I'm actually surprised buy how high the ratings are for this product. Bose has known connectivity issues with the SoundTouch. My own experience is that the speaker will randomly go silent even though I'm connected via the recommended HDMI (ARC) input. The fix directly from Bose is to unplug everything to "reset" the system. This product is way too expensive to have this type of issue. Don't take my word for it, do your own research via the link below. There are several threads just like this one:

The quality of this product is quite exceptional. The sound bar is really able to help differentiate sounds from the background while not sacrificing the sound from people talking/dialogue.

I spent half the day setting up my new Bose Soundtouch 300 and Acoustimass sub, of course, this time wasn't all spent on the Bose system itself. I had to cut some holes in the wall and install some plastic cable guide inserts to hide some wires in the wall and also mounted the TV on the wall.
By the time the evening rolled around, I was looking forward to that easy set-up process of the SoundTouch app and network connectivity. I was disappointed in this. The set-up is "easy" for most people because it assumes you have a very simple network - not a complicated one.
I'm sure it is very simple if your whole house is on one wifi system, but mine involves two wireless routers and an extender due to the metal studs in the walls making wifi signals go crazy.
That's my problem, not Bose's. My complaint is that like all "easy" set-up systems it is totally opaque. There's no manual set-up guide or means that I can find for manually examining what's going on so you can do a workaround if it does not work automatically. Makes it easy for the low-skilled general public to use, but impossible for anyone with an unusual application to tweak it.
I got one Android phone running Bose's app to shake hands with the sound bar and play Radio Paradise, but then I could not get a second phone to pair, or even to recognize that the soundbar existed at all, even though I could see its IP in the network from my desktop. I turned it off and unplugged it to reboot.
When I turned it on, it started playing Radio Paradise again. When I went back to the first phone, it no longer shook hands with the soundbar either even though it was streaming from the net. ("Shake hands," for you young folks is what we used to call it when you got various kinds of equipment to recognize each other and play nice.)
But - bluetooth works fine. I might not even bother with the wifi connectivity.
But, here's the real source of my disappointment: Like all Bose products, this soundbar "colors" the program so severely! It does not produce an accurate sound, it produces an altered sound that is calculated to please naive ears. If you never heard good bass, you wouldn't know the difference.
You want bass? Yeah, it gives you LOTS of bass - just not the same bass that was on the recording. After I got the TV set-up working, I tried playing some music.
Try playing Bob Marley's Exodus on a high powered system with really good speakers. There is some very deep but - musical - bass guitar. If you have a musical ear, you can hear what notes the bass player is playing, and maybe even some bending of the notes. There might even be a little clavinet in there?
Play it on this soundbar and sub... it almost sounds like muffled kick drum. You get thumps, but you don't get deep musical notes with any tonality, nuance, or accurate wave form.
Don't get me wrong - this is a nice little home theater set-up for folks with small spaces and no room for big amps and speakers. It will give you very "satisfying" thump and rumble if you just want to "feel the sound."
But, it will give you more illusion than truth, and more theatricality than musicality. Don't get into this system with any hopes that it will accurately reproduce what a good bass player or keyboard player working the lower scales actually played.
On the brighter side it will fill a room even at very low volumes without bothering the folks next door or in the bedroom. That's probably where this system shines brightest, at providing a lush low volume experience.
It can create an illusion of bass at low volumes, but when you turn it up, it chokes on real bass... it actually kind of coughs out the bass notes like drum kicks instead of whatever the original program material contained.
I'm going to hit the "recommend" button, but with the reservations I have expressed here. Plenty of thump and rumble due to the intentional exaggerated resonances built into it - not much musicality in the lower tonal ranges.

I love this soundbar and it is by far suprior to the samsung one I bought and returned. i don't remember the samsung model, but when i hooked it up, it sounded really boxy. when i got this bose and the rear, wirelss speakers, i was very impressed. first, there is a lot of volume for what i expected. the sound, as like all bose, is great. crisp, no boxiness sound, nice highs, mids and lows. i don't have a sub and this thing does put out a good amount of bass. hookup was simple and took about 5 minutes. setup was simple too. it tells you what exactly you need to do. it looks elegant and a solid framework.

Bose has excellent products and I am a big fan of the company. The sound bar is good but it is excellent with sub woofer. It brings a different dynamic to the movie sound that is unparalleled to other sound systems. Negative is the cost, super expensive.

I love the sound bar, it sounds great as I would expect this brand to sound. I wish the lights were colored versus only white.
