I was excited to attach this bracket to my camera, but a word of caution, be careful how tight you turn the screw into the base of your camera. If you try to tighten it to far, you might break off half of the finger grip attached to the screw; that's what happened to me on my first attempted. It's set up sort of like a wing nut and is some how attached to the screw, but the finger grip looks like it is plastic. Obviously this part is very fragile. So now I am off to the hardware store to see if I can find something compareable that is a little tougher. Also, the moving parts move very easily, so you have to be careful how you handle the equipment or you will be flinging the flash bracket and possibly breaking the hinge, or worse yet, breaking your speedlight into several pieces on the floor. However, it's not all doom and gloom for this bracket. The ease of use does make it very functional when I want to flip the camera or the flash. I haven't had the chance to really field test this equipment yet, but I have a 1 year birthday party this Saturday which I intend to use this bracket. It doesn't add a lot of weight to the over all weight of the camera and it will definitely provide me with the extra stability and versatility that I have been looking for. If you don't want to spend the 80 some dollars for a stroboframe, I would recommend this as a much cheaper alternative that will be just as functional. If the screw grip would not have broken on my first attempt to attach my camera, I would have given this 5 stars.
