I purchased this lens hood for use with my Canon 18-55mm lens. The hood fits any 58mm lens screw mount. The pros of this hood is that it is a good value for the money. The package also includes a lens cap (if you need another one.) The con of the lens is that is a screw mount -- that is, you screw it into the lens threads. I had two issues with it. First, the lens slightly "clipped" my image when I was zoomed all the way out to my 18mm setting. It's not much, but it is annoying. (See image lower right hand corner) I solved this issue by rotating the lens hood. However, rotating the lens hood is tricky because it is a screw mount and it is hard to tell if you are rotating the hood or simply unscrewing it. In contrast, I have a genuine Canon hood (for about $25 more than what what I paid for this lens. The genuine Canon hood is a bayonet mount on the outside of the lens and clicks securely into place. It is much easier to attach and detach than this lens hood -- for the Canon hood you depress a small lever and twist. Bottom line, if you are a casual photographer with a "normal" 35-50mm lens, this is a good value -- But I wish that I would have invested in a higher quality product.

Got this for my camera, it helps me take clear pictures! And it even came with and extra lens cap nice!

The cap fits securely onto the lens. The construction is subsantial enough to last but light enough to not add a bunch of unnecessary weight. The price was comparable to what you could get online.

After buying my new digital camera, I needed something to avoid glare as I shoot a lot of outdoor images. This works well, offering protection for the lens and at a reasonable price

This product works great with my Nikon D3400 camera. I like it for extra protection and for keep excess light from coming into the lense.

I was skeptical to purchase this lens hood at first. But, it is good, nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done! As many photographers know, lens hoods can show up on shots that are wide, so make sure you avoid that rookie mistake! What makes this lens hood good is it's fitted attachment to allow for easy transfer of the hood on and off or inverted for storage in a camera bag. For the price, you really can't beat it!

Clips on my canon 18-55 with no issues. It can be put on backwards for easy storage. Unwanted glare hasn't been an issue and it looks cool.

Does a good job keeping the glare to a minimum if non existant. Would only not work if you took a picture directly at the sun. Caps fits tight. Not afraid to use this in sunny spots does a good job of shading the end of the lense and keeps from ruining picture due to glare.

This lens hood from Bower fits perfectly on my Canon 58mm lenses. It seems to be well made, is reversible, and it comes with a really nice lens cap. So easy to install (and remove), and my photographs in full sun come out so much clearer. I highly recommend, especially at $9.99 (and it's on sale right now for only $6.99!).
