If you like Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy I think you will find this movie really funny. There are some really hilarious scenes (and some not so hilarious) but overall I enjoy watching this movie over and over.

Very funny movie. The whole concept of this movie is that they are filming a movie with a major actor as their leading star, only the guy doesn't have a clue he's being filmed in the movie.

Steve Martin is hilarious in this film, and Eddie Murphy nails it playing two characters. The traffic crossing scene is probably the funniest scene I've ever watched.

This is one of the underrated comedies of the last 25 years in my opinion. Great cast including 2 greats, lots of great quotes. However, video and audio quality along with special features aren't improved over the DVD so while I'd recommend watching I can't endorse an upgrade.

Two of my favorite comedians in a hilarious movie made to poke fun at Hollywood. A great supporting cast too, Robert Downey and Heather Graham are scene stealers as well. Ridiculous and intelligent writing only Steve Martin can pull off. I wish Hollywood could stop taking themselves so seriously and make some fun movies again, we need them!

Murphy and Martin star in this enjoyable skewering of the Hollywood film industry. While not as laugh out funny as I hoped, both actors have some nice moments (especially Murphy who plays two roles). The parody at the film's end, to quote Murphy's character "Awesome"!

So the movie does look good in places and not so good in other places. The lighting had a lot to do with the image quality, and in the sun light it was overexposed a bit and not as sharp. While inside, the clarity was much better. Not too bad for an older release.

For some reason, this film gets trashed, written by Steve martian (with Eddie Murphy pulling double (acting) duties. full with backhanded jabs and laugh out loud moments.genuinely a great comedy. don't listen to the haters

Bowfinger was released when Eddie Murphy was in his prime. He and Steve Martin are just fantastic in this film and the film itself is hilarious. The story may seem far fetched but something similar has happened in the past. Definitely worth watching.

I remember when I first saw this at age 13 I thought it was just stupid. Seeing it a second time and not being a silly teenager I really enjoyed it and found it funny.

Bowfinger is an instant classic with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy in which a down on his luck film producer secretly films a action star to star in his movie and driving his paranoia to the brink of fear causing hilarity along the way.

I hadn't seen this movie since I saw it in the theater back in 1999(?) and I just bought it blind. Happily, I enjoyed it just as much 18 years later!

Fans of Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy should give this a watch, but don't expect a great film like they used to make.
