Got this to enhance sound recordings for my camcorder (which included a so so factory mic). I definitely noticed an improvement in sound quality and sensitivity and would recommend to anyone who wants a cheaper aftermarket mic that proves to be significantly better than most factory mics built in to today's camcorders.

This microphone is used on my Canon DSLRs instead of the built-in microphones when recording video. The difference is noticeable. I also have a Rode mic, and IMHO, this has a bit wider dynamic range and the controls add flexibility. Unlike the Rode, this mic has batteries allowing for more controls of the recording.
As the secretary of a club, I will plug this into an old iPhone to record our meetings and it does a great job. For the money, this is a good choice.

Audio is really good. At least better than my dji action camera.
Con: Requires to shut off manually.

Worked well where I like to take Videos in a windy area. It does make a big difference in eliminating abnormal wind sounds. It was very easy to mount and use. The one thing I did not like was it could have been made a little sturdier, but it is light because of that.

This is a overall good quality and great sounding microphone. It can be used for regular use and big fim projects. It also has a headphone jack so if your camera doesn't have a headphone jack this Microphone is great. The only real downside is that the microphone takes 2 dubble A batteries. But overall its a great microphone

For a budget camera mic, it does okay. Had some issues with cable feed back after only a few uses. Good for a “get you feet wet” mic.

I wanted an external microphone to have better audio for some videos. This has done the job beautifully. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 start rating is the plastic mount. While it has not given me any problems in the first 2 months I've owned it I an not optimistic about it lasting a long time. Hopefully it will prove me wrong.

Can't beat the performance for the money. Great for throwing in my bag - use it with a Canon 5D M4. It's lightweight, durable, and I'm not lugging my studio mic around and taking a chance on damaging it. If you are considering this mic, my advice is buy it. Excellent value.

Never got to use it. The spring that the negative end of the AA battery touches was completely bent, making poor contact with the battery. Mic never turned on. For this price, you can do much better.
