The number of vehicles coming with a CD player now-a-days is shrinking, but if you have one and no longer use your CD player, this is a very sold mount. I wouldn't recommend it for someone to wants to use their CD player on a regular basis. For me it was just a useless slot in the dash, so it works great. The arms grip your phone tightly and I've never had mine fall out. (Maybe almost a little too tight and I have a score of "4" on ease of use for this reason, but I'm ok with it being too tight rather than too loose.) It is pretty easy to install and it stays put. The only real weak point is the ball joint. If you have a heavier phone and rough roads, your phone will eventually start sagging downward.

Use this with my iPhone 8 Plus with an otterbox case on it. Works well as long as you're on flat roads. I'm sure if you went over some bumpy roads it would come out. Haven't tried it with the vent mount yet.

This little gadget is awesome in the car. It fits snug into the air vent and easy to see without interfering with driving.

This product is something I've been looking for a long time. It's super easy to install and secures my cell phone very well.

I've purchased a phone mounting before but it was flimsy and kept falling off. This one seems to do the job thus far because it's sturdy and holds the phone in place. I plan on buying 2 more for my husband and son.

Somewhat difficult to fit into vent slots. Clips don’t adjust for different width slots so I couldn’t put it in the middle vents and had to go to the left side vents. Not as easy to see. Holds phone securely.

Great bracket. Works well for all of our cell phones. Easy to install and holds the phones tightly.

Purchased for use in air vent. Holds phone fine for inexpensive option, just took a couple trials to figure out best way it would work as there are no instructions at all with it.

I like the option of having the vent or CD slot, works well when switching vehicles. Would have gave 5 stars but has a slight intermittent vibration at times. Still very happy with it

I bought this as a replacement for another mount that wasn't able to hold my iPhone X while in its credit card case. This particular mount is much deeper than my previous mount, so it can handle a much larger phone and case. I also like that it has soft rubber on the inside to prevent damage to the leather of the phone case. I was initially concerned that the mount into a CD slot wouldn't be that sturdy, but this one is more than sturdy enough for my use.

It holds my phone perfectly and is very grippy. Easy install and doesn't take up too much space when not in use.

This is a nice, simple phone holder for the car. It comes with both CD slot and air vent attachments. The CD slot does work for my air vents, so even easier.

I’ve tried a few different mounts but none have worked for me. I like the magnetic mounts, but you can’t use them with wireless charging. I like a vent mount, but the vertical vents in my car won’t accept them, plus I hear it messes with the phone when the heater is running. This is a good solution for me.
