I prefer these type of vent mounts over the other kinds. The windshield mounts will inevitably lose suction. This is more reliable.

I use this in many different rental cars, the cars with larger heat/AC louvers will not work but the more narrow louvers work great. The phone stays in place and is easily taken on and off. Sometimes it is a little tricky getting the device onto the louver but once there it is secure. Makes using Google Maps easier.

Really great at getting my phone up out of the car cup holder and where I can use the GPS without interfering with my driving.

I love that I can push the button on the side to open it up for my phone!

I need a strong holder for my iPhone 6 Plus. This vent mount fits all three of my cars.

I use for my IPhone in the car. I like that speaker isn't covered and nice to be able to turn device when using as GPS.

This is great, but it’s difficult to install. It works well when you finally are able to install it.

The arms that hold the phone in are way bigger/longer than I need them to be. Therefore there is too much plastic in the way of me reaching either side of the touchscreen. Operation while driving is therefore more of a hassle than on my previous mount. If you want a really sturdy mount, it will do the job but I think it is simply too much in the way of the touchscreen. Having such long arms on both sides also means I need to be more careful with the exact positioning of my Note 4 so that it's volume and power buttons are not partially covered up. Overall I felt that this mount is overpriced a bit as well. There are some really awful cheap products out there though so in the grand scheme of things it doesn't deserve a low rating because of that.

I like this car mount but the way it attaches is to clip on the vent and it comes off when I try to rotate my phone.

Great for GPS larger than small vent holders for phones. Love these vent holders because they can be placed where you can see them. Also keep items from bouncing around car. Newer dashboards do not support tacky pads.

Bought for the wife - holds her iPhone 6 with no problem.

This hooks easily to your car vent. Tightens down nicely and is easy to remove.

Good in theory, but hard to attach to the vents or doesn't stay latched onto my vents well, and that causes the thing to spin and turn or droop . Sometimes, when you try to adjust the thing if you have a device in it, it'll come off the event and the device then falls out.

I recently purchased this dashboard bracket for my new iPhone. It accommodates my larger size phone as well as the waterproof case that I purchased and secures easily to the AC vent. I especially like the spring-loaded securing feature which allows easy insertion and removal of the phone.

I bought this for a trip I was taking that involved flying to a destination and then doing a significant amount of driving. I usually use a weighted dashboard friction thing to hold my GPS, but I didn't want to carry a heavy thing. I am not a big fan of the suction cup to the windshield mounts, so I went for a vent mount. Doesn't fold into a compact form as small as I would have liked, but it was pretty good. Mounting it to the vent itself as good, although it can lead to some minor struggling if you don't grab the spring clips firmly and have a good orientation to the device. I did find that the vent mount positions the GPS a little lower than usual, but it was OK after some getting used to the position. The part that clamped onto the GPS was a tiny bit small for my 5" GPS, but it was able to hold it OK. Had to tighten the swivel mount well to hold the weight of the GPS up. The back arm that you use to brace the mount against the visor was essential and a bit confusing since it could be positioned in a number of ways. Overall, I found the mount useful for traveling.

Easy to attach and take out and reattach again. It is just the right size
