There are two of these in the stores. Both have the same phone mount and pivot ball construction. They have the same bottom foot on the vent-mount, they differ in the way they attach at the top. The one in the GPS department (this one) uses two hooks over the vent vanes. That is the one I got my daughter. The one in the Cell Phone department has two long clamps (like an old wooden clothespin) with some grippy materiel that almost closes the gap completely. That is the one I got my wife. I think I like the cell phone one better, but both do the job.

Works really well. I like that it adjusts positions. Only complaint is it is not that easy to remove from vents because of the small pieces and access to them.

It is easy to secure and remove the phone from the holder, but it took a little bit to figure out how to fasten it to the car vent. Once installed, it is great.

I was able to mount the device in the air vent just left of the steering wheel. Safe. Economical, hand to use for GPS.

I purchased this product because I needed a way to be hands free in my car. I had a similar one previously that broke after about 9 months or so. The opening and closing button on this one is much smoother and less likely to break like the last one did. I've only had this one for about a month, but so far so good. Easy to use and it is adequately sturdy. Good product for the price.

This is my 2nd one of these holders I have owned. This first one lasted 5 years until I did something pretty rough to it and broke it. Totally my fault. This item seems like pretty much the same item. It has worked for multiple cell phones and GPS's just fine. And the effectiveness of the design (placed on a vent) is 2nd to none for keeping your devices cool. Oh the packaging now is better than it used to be, easier to open.

The grip of the phone is great, but the grip with the vent is not very good. They should change the design to get a better grip at the vent.

It was easy to fix and easy to move between cars. It's stable and works as well as I was hoping it would!

The Bracketron Tekgrip holds your smartphone very securely and has a fold out base to prevent it from slipping off. The vent clips can be rotated to adapt to different vent designs. This can make the original adjustment a bit difficult, depending on the car, but once in, it works very well. Also has a base to brace the bracket against the vent.

I love this. It's adjustable so would be good for several different devices sizes. It works great for my Galaxy note 4. My daughter-in-law saw it in my car, and now she wants one too. I did have a problem with it slipping down from the level I'd placed it, but that was due to operator error rather than the product. FYI - it stays where you put it just fine as long as the bottom stabilizing bar is braced on a vent louver as it's supposed to be.

Overall inexpensive and it works great and it doesn’t slip off like others have.

I bought this for my HTC One M9 and it works great. Only one slight negative...it rattles when there is not a device in it.

Stays put, out of the way, easy to install, versatile for profiles, and a great price.

I love this mount. Not pretty, bulky yet very useful. iPhone 6S fits snugly with the easy adjustable braces. Just squeeze them together and your phone is in place. Super easy release button on the back to lift your phone out of the mount. Just wish it wasn't so bulky. Though the braces and stand fold away compactly.

I was looking for a holder for my new iPhone X. This holder snapped on to my prior magnetic mount base.

Smart design, does a great job holding the phone in place —even over the toughest bumps. The only issue I have is that it's constructed of a very lightweight plastic (which I know it needs to be) and when there's no phone in place, I can hear it "creaking" as I drive over bumps. Sounds like something loose is in the car. Not horrible, of course... and most of the time I do have my phone in there. I have an iPhone 6+ that's too large for my BMW cup holders, so this was a terrific solution.

Mounts on vent, doesn't rock once mounted.. I liked this one because it doesn't move around on the dash, or pop off of the windshield. It took some time for me to get it adjusted, but once I got it to the right position for me to view my GPS without glare or the steering wheel blocking the screen it was fine.

It's great.. BUT I hate to say it's so hard to get off when your done. Other then that it's great phone stays in place

This product has very good price but mounting to the grills is very hard because of the spring system used in it. The springs are too hard that they always damage the air vent grills during mounting and dismounting. You should remove it very carefully in order not to harm your vent grills. If you sucessfully mount it (very hard task) it is perfect.

Helps me keep my eyes on the road without having to look down at my phone. Clip is clever. Fits directly on my vent
