I upgraded from a former Series 7 shaver. The new shaver is easier to use and provides an impressively smooth shave. Battery life is more than adequate. Cleaning system works well. Highly recommended. Great for travel- the head locking mechanism and lockable power button makes the shaver secure while in luggage. Excellent shaver overall.

Gives a very close shave and cleans up easily with the charger and cleaner in one unit. I forgot the charger on a recent 8 day vacation and the shaver stayed charged for the whole trip. It's a little more money than others, but well worth it.

Replaced my dad's fifteen year old razor with this well-reviewed one from Germany. This one comes with a cleaning chamber that uses replaceable cartridges. So far the shave has been very smooth and my 88 year-old dad really enjoys the lightness and low hum that his old razor didn't provide.

Unit uses current cartridges from my Braun. The system is easy to use and seems to cut better than my previous one. The cleaning cycle seems faster as well. The razor last a good while on one charge and operates quieter than previous models.

I performed a lot of research before purchasing this shaver as I was torn between a rotary and foil shaver. The best information I found was from Tyler at electric-shaver-guide.com that provided a great overview of several shavers and which type suits someone based on their facial hair growth. I decided on a foil shaver and purchased the Braun Series 9. It is the best electric shaver I have ever owned and does a great job and very close shave. Not quite as close as a safety razor but, very close to a safety razor. Decided on the Braun Series 9 as with price matching I was able to purchase very close to what the Braun Series 7 was sellling for. I don't miss the water and shaving cream routine in the morning. It has shaved a few minutes off the morning routine as I am able to shave quickly with this shaver. The cleaning station is great as it cleans, sanitizes, and lubricates the shaving head and recomend buying the package that includes the cleaning station. The fluid cartridges for the cleaning station last about three weeks. Very happy with my purchase. FYI: It takes about three weeks for a persons facial hair to adjust to an electric razor when switching from a safety razor. Braun does offer a money back guarantee however, give your facial hair and yourself some time to gain experience using the shaver before deciding whether or not you like it.

I bought this shaver for my father in law who wanted to switch from manual to electric shavers. I own a BRAUN 790 and am very happy with it, so I told him to go for a BRAUN shaver. I thought the 9 series would be as good as the 7 series, but improved. He tried it and couldn´t get used to it, so gave it back to me. I have used it a few times now: it runs silently, does a great job, but I don´t find it better than my 7 series BRAUN. I also prefer rubber to an all aluminium grip. I bought mine three years ago for $175 and still looks and works like new. Both shaver will last for years, they are excellent products, but the 7 series will cost you half of what you will pay for the 9 series (and do the same job).

Overall incredible shave, better than any Norelco or other brand! This shaver is slightly noisier than my old Norelco shavers, plus it is more aggressive on my skin and some people might find it to be a bit harsh for the fist few weeks? I have heard that buying a replacement head/blades is very difficult and expensive, although I have found sources around $80.00 with product in stock. Overall, this shaves 98% as close as my manual razor and although far more expensive than a manual blade and even most other brands, the quality of the shave and the convenience is fantastic and well worth the investment!

This Braun 900 is much better than the Panasonic shavers that I have had. The only thing is to be sure and clean it after every 1 or 2 uses.

I use this to shave both my face and head. After using many different types of manual razors, I must say that this surpasses the ease and effectiveness of most! Although there was a learning curve of about 5 uses, I don't see myself going back to manual. It shaves best when the skin is dry; however, using a thin amount of shaving lotion in the shower works well. The cleaning feature is also something I enjoy, but I don't see the need to use it as frequently as the razor tells me. Well constructed and simple to use. I couldn't be happier.

I had a Braun 790cc shaver that I had been using for the past 5 or so years now and decided to finally upgrade to this one. I think I could have just kept using the one I had, instead of spending so much on this new one, but it's too late to return it now. The shaver is great, and if it's your first electric shaver, it's definitely the way to go. It's very comfortable and doesn't cause any irritation whatsoever. The only thing that could be improved is the trimmer (it's difficult to use because it's so short). In my opinion, this one is worth buying for your first electric shaver, but if the shaver you have is still good, it might not be worth spending so much on just to upgrade.

I upgraded from a Braun 7 shaver. Worth the money, and quality of shave has improved. My old shaver, Braun 7 shaver has lasted and still going after 7 years of service. Only thing broke on it was the sideburn trimmer. They have improved that on the Braun 9. So I hope to get as many years on this new shaver. Replacement heads are easy to find on line. I bought Braun again because of the cleaning system, and quality of the shaver, and the shave closeness.

I have previously never given a thought to spending this much on a shaver. Shaving's a drudge, an everyday occurrence that's a necessary evil. So was this purchase worth it? At the moment, that's a big 'Yes'. Smoother than before (according to my wife), powerful, incredible battery life (over 2 weeks and still going), and a cleaning system about which I can say little at present as it's still new but is an interesting feature.

I have owned a Series 7 shaver for a long time and thought it could not get any better, I am glad my wife suggested I purchase a Series 9 model. This is the best shaver I have owned, period. I have a very tough beard and she used to complain she could hear me shaving all over the house, that is no longer the case. This shaver is quiet it provides a very close shave.

This is the best electric razor I have ever owned. I used the 5 series shaver for at least 10 years before I decided to replace it with this one. Braun razors give you a great shave. I have always loved the self cleaning and lubricating of the Series 5 and this uses the same system. This model also gives you the ability to wet shave but I have not tried that.

This is the most expensive razor I've purchased, but I find it worth it. It gives a close shave, if you take the time. It's got many features that help under the nose, on the chin, etc. The battery life is very good IMO - I've used it 3-4 days without charging, and it still shows full or nearly full on te indicator.

I brought this shaver after using all the different types of regular shavers and was pleased with it's performance. Absolutely close shave with minimal efforts. Love the part of auto cleaning as it takes away all the hassle from cleaning the finer parts inside the shaver. Completely recommend this shaver

This is a good shaver and does produce an excellent result - but it takes some time and is much slower than Panasonic shavers. It is quiet and the head assembly is easy to detach and clean in the shower. I will keep it and compare to Panasonic in a couple of years when it is time to purchase a new one.

This is possibly the best electric shaver I will ever own. I used to get really bad razor bumps when shaving with a electric razor. Now it's very minor. Cons are price and I have seen replacement heads are around $100. Also I heard the cleaning cartridges are hard to find.

After using Panasonic Arc razors for years, I made the switch to this Braun 9 and I have not looked back. Cuts super close without irritation. I love the Clean & Charge dock. Gets my razor feeling like new all the time.

This is my second Braun razor, the first I have used for years and has been great. The first Braun still works great, I bought the second for my lake home. Smooth shave, easy to clean and durable, no other electric I have ever used has been close.
